Product is rugged and easy to install, especially if replacing a previous one. My first one lasted almost 10 years. The provided instructions seemed a bit obsolete referring to a previous model of power cable. The PLC kit is the best value as opposed to buying the parts separately. I suspect I will need to replace the flow sensor within a couple of years, so it is good to have a spare. Overall price is not cheap... There are less expensive ways to get salt water chlorination. Replaced oldstyle PLC1400 with new style PLC1400

I replaced an old rectangle one with this new style. If you are replacing an old rectangular style Jandy Chlorinator, be aware that Jandy changed the coupling size thread to a larger size. Pipe diameter is still the same. So, have to do a little bit of replumbing to use the new couplings. Would have been nice if Jandy had kept the same size couplings to make the upgrade easier. Piping needs to be changed and wiring for cell from 3 wire to 2 wire needs instructions. Rd Positive BLU negative. works like a charm. Better than original
