This is the book that strengthens my faith over and over again. I have read it at least three times. I have also purchased the book for two other friends and would recommend it to anyone who needs to know that there is a higher power in control of our lives. John's Story is an account of the later years of his life after the death of Jesus. He was the last living apostle in the year 95 A.D. and his followers urge him to write his intimate account of Jesus as only he knew him. The story line follows John in his waning years as those close to him transcribe his beloved story. Time is not on John's side as he is aging rapidly and going blind but, at last, his story is told and the last apostle prepares to meet his Lord again. Famous for the Left Behind series, the authors account a living work of bibical history and later complete similar works on Luke and Mark. Great book by trusted authors

I was teaching in my church the book of Revelations and saw this book and thought it might be a good read. I have always enjoyed reading novels over historical books and this book brings the best of both. The book is true to the integrity of the Bible and the historical accounts of John's life while bringing to life the man, the culture that he lived in and the divine intervention in his life that brought about his writing of the Gospel of John and the Revelation of Jesus of Christ. A very good story of the later years of the apostle John. At this point in his life, he is writing his gospel and recalls his days with Jesus. Really makes him seem personable. He recalls his life with Jesus and his days afterwards when he is evangelizing and setting up churches. Excellent writing.Read full review...

Beside from the bible, best book ever!

I've always loved the Bible and the wonderful storys of Jesus. But sometimes I would get lost in biblical terminology of the Bible. But reading this book, the way the authors explained the period that period in which Jesus lived in layman's terms, it was much easier to understand.Read full review...

Great Authors but book not what I thought.

I bought the book about 2-3 months ago. I was really excited when I located the book on ebay for a very reasonable price. Though when I got to reading the book it just was not what I expected. I immediately started reading the book but put it down within a week. I am currently on Chapter 3 and do plan to complete the book but not as quickly as anticipated. I purchased the book because I had read the Left Behind Series and could not wait for the next book. Though I am dissappointed with this book it is not what I expected.Read full review...
