I'll start this off without any words

This is a must-own book for any fan of Kurt Cobain or his band Nirvana. The collection of original lyrics to his songs, in his handwriting, is worth the price of the book.
Journals, is a collection of scans from Kurt Cobain's notebooks dating back before Nirvana's first demo in 1987, and continuing until Kurt's tragic suicide in 1994. It contains letters, poems, stories, and songs all written in Kurt's distictive style. This book allows admirers and curiosity seekers a look into the mind of this man's fears and longings, his depression and euphoria, his struggle with chemical dependence, his chronic stomach pain, his need for admiration, his cynicism towards admirers, and his attitude towards society, which all affected his songwriting process.
People looking for answers as to why Kurt killed himself will not find them in this book. There are no answers: only more questions. People looking to travel back in time, to spend a little time inside Kurt's head, will not be disappointed.

A window into Kurt Cobain's soul

Not many people know that Nirvana was envisioned by Kurt when he was in high school. Like many of us, he filled his school notebooks with drawings, lists, poems and his dreams. This book is a collection of those notebooks. The original lyrics to many of his songs from "Bleach" through "In Utero." I think that alone would give any aspiring high school musician a lot of inspiration. Did any of your poems written become famous worldwide?

History of this book... Courtney Love auctioned off all of Kurt's notebooks to the highest bidding publisher. The winning publisher painstakingly scanned every single notebook from cover to cover. So you are reading Kurt's handwriting, seeing his scribbles and basically learning about him from a whole new perspective.

Journals-Kurt Cobain

I absolutely loved this book. I loved the details that were written in the journal entries. I liked that the book gives you an insight into the life of an extremely talented individual who had problems within himself. It gives a new perspective of Mr Kurt Cobain. I decided to buy the book because I love biographies/autobiographies. I am also a huge Nirvana fan, and have always wanted to know more about the band and Kurt Cobain himself. This book did exactly that. I would recommend this book to fans, and possibly even to those who have a sour outlook on people who are different from themselves. You may change your mind. Rating-EXCELLENT.Read full review...

It's amazing insight into the mind of a musical genius!

It is nice to be able to see what Kurt seemed to be thinking about, from his own mind. Not someone's synopsis on him. It's his actual thoughts on notebook paper! The letters that Kurt wrote are thoroughly entertaining! The lyrics, lists, comics, and random thoughts of a misunderstood musical genius are spellbinding. Way more entertaining than any review can express. A very fun read!Read full review...
