Best Chain for Rube Goldberg Machines

I've been using the KMC X9 chains in my Rube Goldberg machines for a number of years, and they have never disappointed. I particularly like that the chain links alternate from shiny chrome to gunmetal grey, which makes for quite a visually appealing spectacle once the chains are in motion.Read full review...

Looks good, only time will tell.

My review is based on its price point, packaging and quality of appearance - I expect this chain to be above average.

Only time will tell about the true quality and performance of this chain. It’s a wear part. I don’t expect it to last forever - if it holds up for a year it’s about average. If it lasts two years I should have given it four stars, any longer and it deserves five stars. Read full review...

Great value and a easy DIY bicycle project.

Since I ride a Recumbent Easy Racers Tour Easy I needed to buy 3 lengths of chain, I actually needed 10 foot 10 inches all together. So I purchased three chains together and then put them together with the included quick connect links that are included one per chain and the bike is great and quiet. Great buy. I researched on Youtube and on one video is said if the chain has writing on one side then that side should face out, but this chain(s) had no directional markings and had text on both sides so I just put the chains together all the same side out and it was fine. Very easy to do yourself, and save some dough and a trip to the bike shop. Although I did buy the Parktool chain tool and the chain brake tool (which I did not need, to pull out pins and reinsert pins in the chain) for this fix.Read full review...

KMC X series bicycle chains are the best bang for your buck.

These chains are compatible with SRAM and Shimano transmissions at a savings over the their name brand chains. They are a durable, long lasting, highly rated (do your own search). KMC X series chains are the best bang for your buck.Read full review...

Awesome value chain

Long lasting nice nickel plated outer plated with x bridge technology for a solid chain. For me this is the best value chain for the money. It goes on all of my bikes kmc for the win. Cheapest chain out and also the most durable that I have used. Looks great too!Read full review...

Somehow I am always buying KMC chain...

I play around a lot with bikes. I fix chains on bikes for new riders. I have changed chain on a fixed gear bike. I have changed the chain my Scott road bike. I had to get a new 3/32" chain for my e-bike.

All kinds of different chain sizes. Each time I go and search for the "best deal" (without compromising on quality) and I always end up with KMC chain.

They seem to tic off all the marks and they typically provide a quick link in the package.
Works for me.

Excellent all-round chain

I use KMC chains on all of my bikes. I think they shift better than Shimano or SRAM chains. And, they last and last. The X9/10/11.93 level of chain is right in the sweet spot between performance, longevity, weight and price. It's my favorite chain model. Highly recommended.Read full review...

Great value!

So far, so good. This my first time to buy KMC, kinda grew tired of paying a premium for SRAM. My hope is to make the switch permanent since I can get two KMC's for the cost of one SRAM.
It'll be a little while yet to determine how well it's going to wear.Read full review...

Great chain, great price!

This chain is replacing a gold version of the same product. I have 3500 miles on the one it replaces and I expect to get the same out of this one. It is very strong and stretch resistant and lightweight compared to others.Read full review...
