First time doing any wood staining

I watched a video of how to mix it. I did a test piece first. Now my little speaker box looks awesome. I mixed it with a water base to stain it. I put some more dye in the clear urethane to make it just a little darker. Read full review...

Very Rich Color

Awesome Color. You have to work with it to get the shade you want. You can go light, medium or rich dark with several coats. Make sure you wear gloves.

Great color - don’t mix wood species or use poly urethane

Mix double strong. Alcohol evaporates really fast.

Don’t mix species of wood. Red oak turns blue green if you seal with poly urethane. White oak get darker but stays blue and birch stays almost the same.

I was told to use water based poly acrylic next time.

Love this stuff. Way more fun than brown, tan and yellow stains.

It worked well for me on a pine door

I did get what I was looking for by mixing about half the bottle with about half a cup of laquer thinner. It did not penetrate well with water, and was very light when I measured drops to add, so finally just squirted it in. Took most of the bottle for this 42" x 83" Pine door. Applied with a brush, and much ventilation needed, but dries raltively quickly.Read full review...
