Great ALL-PURPOSE Baking Cookbook

this cookbook has some great baking ideas in It. I have already made some of the recipes, the Vermont oatmeal maple- honey bread is great with its touch of cinnamon, it makes great toast and the pancake recipes were so good that my grandkids had me make 2 batches.
this is a easy to follow cookbook great for beginner bakers or experienced.

The King Arthur Flour Baker's Companion (2003)

My sister, who had at one time worked at King Arthur and who now bakes professionally, gave this book to me as a gift. We've never eaten so well! For the Zephyr Pancakes ALONE, you should consider getting this monster of a cook book, which is likely to supplant the one you currently use.

There are a lot of helpful hints, and the background information is wonderful. And despite the fact that the company markets baking products, including flour, the book is NOT an overgrown product guide or advertisement ... just an EXCELLENT resource and collection of winning recipes.

I bought two and they must be different editions because one is much thicker than the other, one has text on the back cover while the other doesn't. Both were clean of writing or highlighting. One has a slightly faded cover and spine.Read full review...
