Typical 90's animation for boys, but still a good one for your buck.

One of greatest personal favs back in the 90's. Always left me unaware, how it all ended. Too bad the series was never finished, and it just ended after the 26 episodes leaving the story unfinished. But, I'm happy to the fact that I saw all of the episodes. Feels very nostalgic to watch 'em.

Fascinating subject, King Arthur and his knights of the round table. The real Arthur has gotten himself captured inside of a crystal prison, and the court wizard Merlin finds a substitute Arthur to the mission for releasing the real one; from the field of the future a 90's soccer team. To do this, they need 12 keys of truth, which are their only hope for returning their own time. The second season brought a bit improvements, but worst of those is the "educational lessons" after each episode. Makes me feel SOOOOO ashamed of myself just by listening how cheezy it sounds.

I like the voice actors, only a few chapped my hide, and there's something about the music too, in a good way. The sound is dolby mono, so had to keep volume very very high to actually hear what's happening.

But overall, I liked this one.

Fun action fantasy series; mildly awkward dialogue but incredible action

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice is a must-have for collectors of fantasy animation series of the 80s and 90s. It was one of the last of the genre along with the likes of Conan the Adventurer.r>The most enjoyable aspect of this show is the constant battle scenes and action-figure appeal; each of the twelve knights possesses a magical weapon and an animal companion to aid them on adventures. The villains of the series are also creatively designed.
A major weakness of the series is its dialogue. I find it relatively "dumbed down" for children. This is common in the genre however. Also, I find the masculine ideals of "Arthur's court" and the female characters' conventional helplessness relatively sexist.
Enjoy this series! It ought not cost you much money, and the strong focus on action is a blast.Read full review...

Great cartoon, bad DVD

Don't get me wrong, King Arthur and the Knights of Justice was a very original cartoon for its time. The storyline of a football team being used as Knights of the Round Table with rock music in the background really kept my interest in this story. Too bad this DVD(produced by the bknkids) was not cleaned up, the intros redone to run smoother, or the stereo to make sound better. One of the episodes did not have music, at all. I don't have to have commentary or a whole lot of trailers, but I would like a professionally done cartoon. Fortunately, the price is low enough to see all 26 episodes. The only large complaint I have is that if a company is going to make an epic like cartoon, know that you're going to stick with it to the bitter end, like Robotech and Exosquad did.Read full review...

An awesome cartoon.

When I was a Kid there was nothing as fun or as looked forward to as the Saturday morning cartoons. King Arthur was one of those cartoons. Though it may not have been on long when compared to the plague that is pokemon it however stood up well. The Cartoon series which made me want to read the legends of Arthur is brought back to life in DVD format with good color and perfect audio. All twenty six episodes of the series is present. IF you are looking for a 1990 cartoon to watch you can't go wrong with this set for which can be purchased from 11-15 dollars. The story is based on a Football team who is summoned back to take the seat of Arthur and battle the evil Morgan and her commander Lord Viper. It's funny and action packed.Read full review...

Great DVD a Flashback to the 90s!

This set basically let me relive the old memories of Saturday morning Cartoons. They didn't have BluRay and very few DVD players back then so don't expect the videos to be super high definition but it's still great dvd quality. All in all a great buy for a really great price.Read full review...

Amazing!

My fiance and I have been looking for this item for a long time. I am known to find and give great, meaningful gifts and this was one of his ultimate, favorite shows as a kid growing up. He kind of gave up on finding it and I tried a multitude of times. Just last week this pops up, I ordered and received in really quickly! It is in perfect condition and actually a great show :)Read full review...

Great kids cartoon from the 90s.

I remember watching this on Saturday mornings. It has morality tales and life lessons that cartoons today just don't have. Of course the animation is older, which is another appeal for me, and the stories and lessons are timeless.Read full review...
