Kingsman part one.

It was an entertaining movie and filled with action. I thought of it as an English version of a James Bond movie with some odd twists and turns that made it feel a bit like a "foreign" movie. This didn't take away from the fun of the action...it was just different, and different can be good. Witty, smart, funny and exciting spy action movie spoof. Colin Firth is the "Hart" of the movie. He is incredible as a seasoned spy and father figure to a novice spy. Firth's performance is simply brilliant. He trained for six months and did 90% of the stunts himself - everything the insurance company would allow him to do. It doesn't hurt that he looks very good in his Kinsman attire. He gets better looking with age. The Pub and Church Scenes are particularly fantastic. Too bad he was not cast as Bond instead of Pierce Brosnan. I like Pierce Brosnan, but Firth's acting ability puts him in another league. Mark Strong is particularly good as Merlin, a Q type character. Samuel L. Jackson was good as usual, but its Firth's movie all the way.Read full review...
