Kinky Boots it's about a shoe company, twisted friendships and a new way of rethinking about a shoe. Charlie Price has chaos warping and hardship of truths. A shoe that makes or breaks the factory, a red one at that. Charlie's father passes, leaving a factory full of shoes. Drag queen shoes bright red ones will bust the transvestite shoe accessories world. English men business shoes will soon turn morality in red tones.

Lola (drag queen) and Charlie clash, Price Shoes will take that walkway in Milan and rescues the factory from failure. Cha Cha boot takes the factory to a new name Kinky Boots! This film is not fiction as some would think, it was a real life experience.

This film was in real life a face story of the real factory in Northampshire called Kinky Boots. The fetish dominatrix industry would take the boot to a new era in men's shoe fashion.

True Story and Hillarious

The setting, England, a shoe factory. How to survive a failing business, make thigh high boots for transvestites and drag queens. If the first sentence catches your interest, good for you. You are in for an interesting and funny ride.

This movie is based on a true life story, and there is a love story weaved into it.

Great if you like cross-dressing comedy plus straight love stories.

Interesting that this is based, in part, on true events. Female impersonators in this story are a scream (think “Mrs Doubtfire”, “Rocky Horror Picture Show”, “Tootsie”, “Victor/Victoria”). Northern England accents are a bit hard to understand and there is no closed-captioning on the DVD.

The truth about what you do for others is repaid 3 fold

This movie covers Father Son relationships. The differences between the generations and how it all comes full circle.It also deals with people relationships when opposites are paid attention too.The gist of the movie in synopsis is. Son doesn't want to go into Dad's shoe making business. It's out dated. Father dies and son is forced to take over and wants to sell the business until he finds Dad has only been keeping it open so his loyal workers won't starve.A situation the employees know nothing about. When faced with terminating all of them the son sees what dad was up against. He had to come up with a plan that sort of dropped in his lap, literally.While drinking heavily one night he saw a damsel in distress and went to her rescue. He was knocked out and awoke the next day in her apartment. "SHE" turned out to be a beautiful black transvestite.The rest of the movie deals with the woes of trannies trying to fit into ladys fancy boots.Voila, the shoe factory starts making "Kinky Boots" and there is a happy ending.It gave me a good feeling about how #1 we are all connected and #2 what we do and how we do it really makes a difference.The feeling it left me with reminded me of "Crash" although that movie was about the bad things we do are all connected. Kinky Boots is one of my all-time favorite movies. The humor is unmistakeably on-key with the world of drag queens, shoe factories and life in general. Several well-placed bursts of song and a colorful cast, plot, filming and costume make this a classic for all who either love shoes and drag queens. Chiwetel Ejiofor does more than poetic justice for his charmingly witty character, Lola and Joel Edgerton is unforgettably believable in the role of Charlie. Uproariously Hilarious Comedy

I'd actually caught this movie originally on late night.
The story line focuses around a guy, in his late 30's early 30's who's not sure what to do with his life. He has a controlling girlfriend and really doesn't like anything he's done or is doing with himself.
His father dies and leaves him the family business being men's shoe's. A factory that makes men's shoe's. When a big order falls through and he's stuck having to lay off many of his workers. One of them suggest that instead of giving up maybe he needs to rethink the shoe.
And so he find's his niche market in the most unusual place that you'd think. DRAG QUEENS!!!!!! One especially carasmatic drag queen to boot (no pun intended) helps him with his new market. Making stylish foot wear, high heels, for the drag queen niche market.Read full review...
