You Wanted The Best? Yes, You Got It!

This was an awesome tour. Saw it and back then KISS would sell cds of the shows you went to via "Instant Live". You would order it before the show and after the show, the company printed them up and you could take it home that night. It was cool to listen to in the car on the ride home after the performance--It made for the perfect souvenir from the concert.

With that, I guess KISS thought this was the best night from that tour they recorded, so decided to release it as part of their "Off the Soundboard" series. I believe parts of this show was also included on the DVD "Rock the Nation Live".

Yeah, Tommy & Eric are made by Gene & Paul to dress up like Ace & Peter, yet I feel this band line up looked best in the "Alive" costumes. I also feel this was the last tour where KISS sounded their phenomenal live.

Excluding the tours from 1996-2000, This 2004 tour had the most diverse setlist since the Revenge tour (could say the same regarding the 1995 Acoustic concert during their official Convention tour, but those weren't typical electric performances).

The set list had songs from every KISS era between 1970s--1990s; With such 90s tracks as Psycho Circus, Unholy & God Gave Rock N Roll To You II, 80s Hits Lick it Up, War Machine & I Love It Loud plus 70s classics Love Gun, Parasite, Making Love and, of course, Rock N Roll All Nite.

I think these "Off the Soundboard" albums are a dream for Long-Time KISS fans. So far, they've released shows from 2004, 2001 and the 1996 Reunion tour. I'm hoping they'll release ones from the Unmasked, Creatures of the Night, Lick it Up, Animalize and Revenge tours. Out of all KISS members, Eric Carr deserves to be featured on an official live KISS album.

If you like the songs listed, it’s very cool.

I’m a big KISS Fan so I’m very glad they’re putting out the Soundboard series. I don’t like it but hope they put out more with Eric Carr and Bruce also. Actually all of the lineups.
