Powerful blender
The product was perfect, except the mixing cup. The mixing cup came with a giant crack down the side. The crack does render this mixing cup useless and it seeps/gushes fluid. I was also not expecting the hand blender to be corded, but this is likely my error for not reading the details thoroughly. The blender itself works amazingly well and I am more than pleased with its processing power.Read full review

Plastic, top heavy, attachment doesn't stay connected
The attachment housings are plastic. They only look like metal in the pictures. They are lightweight, which means that the blender won't stand upright without tending to tip over. All the hand blenders I've used in the past stand really well. Also, there is one attachment that falls off when using it. Just doesn't hold in place the way it should. Surprising of a KitchenAid product. Look elsewhere.Read full review

I had a Hamilton Beach hand blender and while it worked fine, it was pretty loud and it felt cheap. After about a year or so of pretty light use (maybe once every couple of weeks), one of the attachments broke where it clips on to the blender. I have previously owned a name brand higher end hand held blender. It was good while it lasted but after 8 years of moderate used, it is no longer performing like it should. I bought this Kitchen Aide and it seems to perform better than my old blender ever did. I have several other Kitchen Aide small appliances including a mixer. Great immersion blender!
I've bought three immersion blenders. This is by far the best I have purchased to date. I am not a commercial cook, but I do want a product that is quality and built to last. The steel blender attachment has worked great on squash soup and fresh tomato sauce. The feel is great and the three speeds are adequate. The nut chopped worked as advertised but I have only used it on walnuts. The whip made short work of meringue. Good product from a great company....
