More that just pictures

The diet/nutrition portion of this book is subjective - I don't think everyone should be eating 2600 calories a day. Mario can do it because he has a lot of muscle.

However, the workout portion of this book has some very good suggestions. The weights suggestions are things that are easily done at any gym. But many other exercises you can do in your own home. The "jump over the foam pad," the pushups and several others don't require any special equipment. I can spend less time at the gym when I break my workout into two parts: at-the-gym/at-home.

He suggests doing some boxing - but my gym doesn't have those capabilities. However, my Nintendo Wii provides a good boxing working. It's not necessarily physiologically accurate, but it gets my arms and legs moving and it makes me sweat.

I'm seeing results.

I would definitely recommend this book from an exercise standpoint. But like I said at the beginning, I don't think his meal recommendations are appropriate for everyone.

Overall, very good book. Lots of helpful suggestions.

Mario Lopez - No Knockout

This book appears to be no more than a book by Jeff O'connell - who apparently paid Mario Lopez to be the front man. While Mr. Lopez remains a fantastic actor and underated talent, this book is a bad reflection of Mr. Lopez and has advice, that while it is good, has all been heard before - and is nothing more than a mini coffee table book with nice pictures of Mr, Lopez, who of course cannot take a bad picture. It seems to be written more for young fans of Mr. Lopez and not for people wanting to get anywhere near the shape Mr. Lopez is in. It is however, a pretty book nothing more. I hope in the future Mr. Lopez will do his own book and not trust his good name and superior talent to a cut and paste writer.Read full review...

Perfect Title as Mario hits home with his knowledge.

I like it because Mario targets the areas everyone needs to know how to strengthen. The pictures are great and easy to see how to work those problem areas. Im grateful for this book, its helped both my husband and myself.
Thanks Mario! You truly are an angel of a superstar and not bad to look at either.

How to stay fit at any age?

I bought the book because Mario is always in great shape since Saved by the Bell. I followed most of his ideas but not all since the goal is different for me. The knowledge I learned from his book expanded my horizon in physical fitness. I have the intention of buying his book about nutrition.Read full review...
