Kodak EASYSHARE CD33 3.1 Megapixel Camera & Dock.

I own a lot of camera's, including other Kodaks, so am quite knowledgeable about them. When Kodak came out with the CX6000 series I purchased one. It was a good simple camera for family use. When I ran across this camera listed in the auction I bid on it. I happened to win the bid and have just really started to try the camera out. After checking it out I have found a lot of features I like about it. Again, it is a simple camera to use and really beats dragging around a $1200 to $1500 camera around while hiking just for fun. I like the fact you can lock it on auto and let it decide the settings for you or you can set them yourself if you wish to get better prints. I like the use of the SD card so you can go as large as you wish with your storage for your pictures. I find it has a lot of good features for an inexpensive camera. I look forward to getting a lot of good use from it.Read full review...

Great beginner camera!

After dropping 2 expensive digital cameras, I was put on a budget for my 3rd. After visiting Walmart, I decided on Kodak's EasyShare CD33 3.1.

This camera has been a Godsend. I have dropped it twice now with the lens OUT, and it is still working. **Not that I recommend dropping it**

Mainly used for taking pictures of my children, and my eBay listings this camera does remarkably well.

Taking pictures is pretty self explanatory, when using the dial to choose settings. I use the automatic setting, and the macro setting the most. Automatic does great for my clothing and kids. The flash works well for closer items. Macro does well also, but is a little tricky upon first using it.

It has a 3X optical zoom, which does well for pictures of things not more than 300ft away. Anymore than that and regardless of zoom your subject is about this "O" big.

The flash as I said before, does well with indoor and outdoor but only if items are not more than 30 or so feet away. On a recent camping trip, I tried to take pictures of a herd of deer no more than 150ft from me at dusk, and all I got was the whites of their eyes.

All in all, for under $100 this camera works well. Uploading pictures to your PC is easy and quick. Although I don't recommend Kodaks photo editing program that comes standard with this camera.

I hope this helps you on your quest for a new camera!

Says exactly what the product is..

I bought it because i needed a digital camera.. I had another brand ,,much more expensive,, and it was lost..
This camera is good, overall.. It is compact, easy software to load in your computer.. picture quality is generally good...in daylight it takes great pictures.. During dark daylight or very cloudy skies even with the flash the pictures come out dark.. Indoors at night, depending on how much light there is,, the pictures can come out a little too light or too dark.. It does not work with some type of batteries Kodak recommends in there manual..It does have both digital and optical zoom lenses. They work fine..
The camera is at least as good as I expected .. A basic functional compact digital camera easy to use. Takes good pictures. And it is inexpensive.. The expert would purchase a more expensive camera. I would recommend this camera to anyone...

Turn it on and take a picture.

This is my favorite pocket camera. It goes with us everywhere. I have bigger cameras, and more expensive cameras, but none handier.

The resolution is fine for all your casual snapshot photos. Prints up to 5x7 are of standard photo quality. The display is of average size and bright enough to see in daylight. (In direct sunlight you will have to shade the display with your hand but this is common for all digital displays.) Since I use the optical viewfinder almost exclusively I don't find this to be a problem. (I have found that it is easier to review my photos from my PC, so while I tend to shoot a lot I do not waste time trying to review and edit on the camera display.) Battery life is good even with the display turned on. (Certainly better than on my battery eating Olympus.) The menu system is easy to navigate, but then I really don't use it much.

The lens is of excellent quality and the images have great color saturation. Auto focus on the camera is accurate and consistent, and easily turned off when you don't want it. Recovery time is short, so there is little waiting for the camera to become ready for the next shot.

The camera has a mechanical drive lens which works smoothly and quietly. We did jam the lens by dropping the camera, so durability might be an issue if you are a bit on the clumsy side. I suggest you use the wrist strap. (Jamming the lens gave us an opportunity to try out Kodak's service department. They were easy to deal with and everything went very well and we were back up and shooting in about a week.) We actually kept taking pics for a couple of weeks with the lens jammed. We just couldn't use zoom or retract the lens.

Kodak cameras have always been of pretty good quality and easy to use. This model is no different. Small enough for a jacket pocket or purse; you can whip this little camera out and have it turned on and ready to shoot in just a couple of seconds. It easy to hold, small but large enough to get a good grip on without blocking the lens with your fingers.

Overall just a great snapshot camera.

Kodak EasyShare CD33 3.1 Megapixel Needs Work!!

I like a lot about it, it was my first digital camera...

It is very good for a beginner, the pics come out pretty good but not that in depth..

I sell a lot of watches and jewelry and you CANT NOT TAKE up close pictures with this camera, it comes out faded and blurry...

It is very inexpensive less than 69.99 at tigerdirect....

The features are very easy to understand and learn, if you are just beginning i would recommend this for you...

As far as the printer dock dont waste your money...I can print pictures on my printer for much cheaper than the cost of kodaks film kits..

GET A WARRANTY! THE CAMERA HAS A DEFECT THAT I HATE!!

THE BATTERY DOES NOT FIT IN THE CAMERA CORRECTLY!

IF YOU LEAVE THE BATTERY IN THE CAMERA FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME IT WILL BREAK THE CASING...Then you have to get it fixed, this has happened to me three times, Just take the battery out and reset your date/time every time you put the battery back in if you want to keep it functional..

Another thing I just about forgot, the videos this camera takes are very low quality but that is to be expected with 3.1 megapixels! Do not expect to get a very good video from this camera! The sound quality is much better than the video quality..Overall for the price it is well worth the money for a beginner who is only going to take everyday pics..Not for detailed pics at all...

I GOT TIRED OF THIS PROBLEM AND THE $20 BATTERIES THAT YOU SEEM TO NEED EVERY WEEK IF YOU TAKE MANY PICTURES, Also it is kind of hard to find the rechargable batteries and they are kind of high..I PURCHASED A FUJI FILM A600 AND I LOVE IT...GAVE THE KODAK AWAY....

IF YOU FOUND THIS GUIDE HELPFUL PLEASE VOTE YES!!

Please check out my store I just added the baddest store front on ebay!!!!

Great camera for the price - small, low cost, great quality pix

Great little camera with good quality. SD card support but max size of 256mb - can also use micro SD card with adapter. 256Mb is good size and avoids you having 500 pix on one card and then losing it. Better to have many smaller cards.

Easy to sue, easy to set up....overall GREAT

Kodak EasyShare CD33 3.1 Megapixel

I like that this camera is small enough to keep with you at all times.
I don't like that the transfer cable is not a common size. This has a proprietary cable.
I decided to buy it because it was affordable, small and easy to useRead full review...

Great for first time users!

The Kodak EasyShare CD33 is the best choice for someone who is not a camera expert. It's self-explanatory and easy to use. This camera takes beautiful clear pictures. It's simple to set up to your pc and print from home. The few minutes of video capture is a plus and enjoyable. Great quality sound!
