I first purchased one of these units some 30 years ago. I knew immediately that I would never own another espresso machine. The Krups is a "hands on" machine but it allows you to produce the perfect coffee drink for your own tastes. If you own one, you are defacto a barista! The possible adjustments in distributing the flow of steam, for making froth and espresso, create infinite dimensions in infinite combinations. You can learn to adjust the pressure and flow to highlight different subtle undertones hidden in the coffee(s) you use. The type of coffee blend, the size of the grind, amount of water, the amount of milk...all create a palette of possible flavors and tastes just waiting to be discovered. The best cappuccino ever

This machine makes wonderful cappuccino very simply - the one difficulty with it is that it is necessary to keep the milk frothing apparatus completely clean and to do it after each use - if you don't do this the machine stops frothing milk in quick order - I was very sorry when the company modified this model as the "improved" version is not anything like as good - I give these machines to all my friends -Read full review

I have had this type of espresso maker for more than 20 years and they are great. This one was unused and probably sitting in the box for more than 10 years. Its just as good as the first one

Reliable, efficient, 4 shots, not just 2

Does a simple job very well. I've heard it described as a cross between an espresso/capuccino machine and a drip coffee maker. I can't really tell the difference.
