Good performance vs. cost.
Custom grips are subjective. Replacing factory grips is pretty much the least expensive thing you can do to start modifying your bike. Comfort should trump style, but with these grips you get both. They're not "over the top", in the design department, but the low cost and comfort are worth the price. I've used the "Iso-Grips" from Kuryakyn before, and rolled the dice purchasing these.
No complaints regarding fit or install. Keep in mind, that they are designed to be ergonomic. That is- they have a spiral pattern that conforms to the inside of your knuckles and placement of your fingertips. Be sure to get your bars adjusted before you glue the clutch side grip in place. The throttle side (at least on the TBW setup) is indexed to rotate a few degrees between teeth, so it's pretty easy to adjust to match the clutch side. On cable throttle setups, I'd imagine you'd have to live with the grip wherever it lands, and rotate the perch to your liking. THEN do the clutch side afterwards.
