Solid performer

Excellent rugged flip phone. Has every feature you need to make reliable calls; phenomenal speakerphone with active noise suppression microphone. Works well. Very happy.

Amazing build, with decent feature set - VoLTE!

Excellent build, crystal clear audio, fantastic keys and multi-day battery life! Ordered and was delivered as stated (like new, but without original box or accessories). Still saved a good $60 off retail MSRP.

I was able to install a few .apk (apps) such as Telegram, Google Maps, and MyRadar and that was all I needed, and desired. It covers the basics well, but I do miss the touch screen and speech to text capabilities my Sunbeam F1 had, but this is built so much better and I have no doubts it’ll last for many many years.

Speaker phone and earpiece loudness are unbelievable compared to a modern iPhone as well. And so far after charging it Friday, it’s Sunday and still going no problem. I’d expect about 3 days easily with light to moderate use.

Camera is there, but it’s not winning any awards. Enough to capture your surroundings or send something in a message. Not for capturing your entire vacation, but it’ll do in a pinch.

If you want to detox digitally, or just need a VoLTE flip phone to replace an aging 3G one, this is the one to get on Verizon, or even unlocked on other networks.

All the features I need and none of the ones I dont.

After tweaking some settings I got it up to around 3 days battery, not fantastic but acceptable. Sound quality is excellent on both ends. This phone has all the tools I need and none of the ones I don't need. I have destroyed half the phones I ever owned, these dura phones are very durable. This is the 2nd one I have owned, the other one I retired because it was 3g, this was after being dropped many times and washed with my clothes twice and it still worked like new. These phones are awesome.Read full review...

Good Product

The Kyocera Dura XV Extreme is the flip phone I have been looking for for sometime. This phone was listed as like new (9.9/10). It is exacting as listed with only one small scratch. Phone works great, better reception than my last brand X phone.Read full review...

Good, durable feature phone.

Very good phone. Not as compact as the Samsung Rugby that I loved, but a good 4G VoLTE substitute with good features, including mobile hotspot function and wifi calling. It does not have band 71 (600 Mhz) coverage so it's not fully up to date, but it's functional for my purposes.Read full review...

Reasonably satisfied with it

I went from a slider type phone to this one because the slider was only 3g
not happy with the texting but seems to be what i need for now.
still learning, does some things I like, and it will get better once I learn more about it.Read full review...

So far so good

Had to replace my 3G camera that I was quite happy with, and this flip phone got some good reviews and is Verizon qualified. Being a proud dinosaur I wanted a less than smart phone. No camera and no texting, though I have to get Verizon on board for the latter. I honestly barely talk on it and leave it at home much of the time (wife is not happy about that). It IS bigger and heavier than my old Samsung flip phone, but the numbers ARE bigger on the pad ;) The Kyocera is reported to be robust, but my old phone had taken a lot of abuse...so we shall see. So far so good.Read full review...

The Incredible Hulk of cell phones. . . (Big and strong.)

Ok. I prefer a flip phone for a lot of reasons. To use an outdated phone is NOT one of them.

So to me the best things about the Dura XV LTE are

1. It's current LTE tech and wifi calls work great.

2. It's bloomin' indestructable

3. It has quality components such as the keyboard, flip hinge, etc.

The downside . . . I'm used to charging my phone twice a week. The Dura VX LTE needs a charge every 2 days. It might make 3 days if I leave it in the drawer 1 out of the 3 days.

Also, a charging station is available for about $110 but that's a bit high. The charging port plug is easy enough to pop out. But take care of that port. There some reports on the net about ports going bad.

Very capable system.

Clear screen, good controls, easy to migrate from old phone (with some help from Verizon).
Fortunately an on line copy of the operating manual is available on line because there is a lot to this phone.Read full review...

Excellent Rugged Flip Phone

The Kyocera Dura XV Extreme is exactly the phone I was looking for. A RUGGED flip phone that is user friendly. The HD voice was what I needed, and the speakers are great. Highly recommend for those, like me, who don't need, want, or use a so-called smart phone. Read full review...
