Good Game, Game Informer Gave it a 8.25 Rateing, I Agree!!

If you like the Grand Theft Auto Series, You'll Love this game. I have the Strategy Guide, But I played it for a couple of cases without it, I found that it was fun trying to guess if the suspect was telling the truth or not. I liked how you could steal the cars just like Grand Theft Auto, and not be chased by cops. Good Game!! Game informer gave it a 8.25 rating, I agree!!Read full review...

Good game overall. If you like puzzles this is for you.

I bought this game cause i like the whole C.S.I. kinda thing. I've played a few times. Its hard for me to read the people's faces your interviewing. I like the year its in, the storyline, and trying to solve the crimes. Good game overall. I have never own another game like this, but I knew rockstar made it. So it had to be a good game.Read full review...

Fun but not what you expect from a Rockstar game.

Its not what I expected from a Rockstar game but it is interesting. You cannot free aim or pull your gun out whenever you want. There are not many weapons but that is probably because they were not invented yet. Its the 1940s so get used to the old time era of Black people being called Negros, etc. It's just what you would expect in that aspect, however it is still a fun game.Read full review...

Great game worth the money!

I am still playing this one, but so far so good. The game takes you through a series of investigations that lead to promotions of your character. I am only on the beginning of disc #2 (There are three discs), but like with other Rockstar Tirles, already I am seeing a pattern of monotonous game play. It is still fun, but I am hoping the game changes up soon. Still, I think it is worth buying and it is definitely addictive.Read full review...

Best Detective Game Of All Time

If you have EVER been a fan of detective games, especially the old point-and-click adventures on pc in the 90's, then L.A. Noire is a must have.
The gameplay is VERY similar to the old school point-and-click adventures, but with some newer sandbox twists. During investigations, you are free to roam around a nearly full scale 1940s Los Angeles, collect hidden items, find hidden vehicles and even answer calls from dispatch that lead to optional side missions.
Throughout the course of the game, you will play as an on-the-beat patrol cop and work your way up to being a detective. While you are a detective, you will be assigned to various desks in the department, such as homicide, arson, traffic and vice, so you will be able to play through all kinds of cases.
The graphics and sound of L.A. Noire are top notch. They are way too many actors to count in the game from film and tv and their performances are just as good as on the silver screen. The music and sound effects are also very well done. It's like you're playing a movie.
Overall, L.A. Noire is a must have if you're a fan of detective movies, tv shows, books or games.

Good storyline, but can be difficult to move forward at time, good game.

This is a great game for people who like to create a story line and control what's going on. Very cutting edge, but the hints can be difficult to catch on to. Not exactly what it was hyped up to be, but exactly what I expected. I would absolutely buy this game again.Read full review...

A neat spin from Rockstar. Better off sticking with GTA.

L.A. Noire is an intellectual's version of Grand Theft Auto. It puts you into the sandbox environment, and instead of encouraging you to commit crimes, you are busy stopping them.

For a majority of the game you are going to be spending your time trans versing the city of Los Angeles. The sheer size of the city in the game is impressive, for about 15 minutes. Once the novelty of the city size is gone, travel in the game is completely troublesome and boring.

The real fun in the game comes with interrogating witnesses, where reading facial expressions and movements is key. Unfortunately one wrong move makes the case even harder. Show the wrong evidence and even though you had the read on them, you are back at square one.

To try and keep the game interesting, there are car chases, gun fights, stealthy followings. Which are pretty cool the first time you do them, but become tedious and annoying the more you play.

I really want to enjoy this game, but unless there becomes some other hook or more interrogations or sleuth work, it isn't going to happen.

Awesome game ~ mentally stimulating as well as physically stimulating!!!

A fun game! Bought this game because it was new & selling cheap ~ sounded interesting so I thought "why not try it?" I'm glad I did ~ great storyline, cool character, interesting plots, captivating play, super graphics ~ like mentally putting a puzzle together. NOT a game for the kids but it is properly labeled M-mature. If you like games that mentally challenge as well as getting to drive & shoot things, this game is for you! ENJOY!!!Read full review...

It’s alright

Great investigation game except the string of female murder victims. Too repetitive!
