All three dinosaurs are super cool looking, my 3 year old likes the pterodactyl the most. But if he gets bored of it, i just break it apart and build the triceratops or trex. As for being durable it's LEGO... lose one piece and your in trouble. Also I would say definitely for the older age group on that age bracket.... even took my husband a while to set up while helping my son.
