Fun for father and son

I bought this as a Christmas gift after my husband admired it in a toy store in Croatia. Soon discovered it seems to be a discontinued product that is no longer manufactured so yay for eBay!

My husband and our 4.5 year old son worked on putting this together over several days , spending a few blocks of solid time together, and they both really enjoyed it - I couldn't believe how long my son's attention span lasted with this! There are a lot of stickers and the containers on the ship are detached so makes for a bit more of an interactive ship. Home for the Holidays

This is a wonderful way to occupy my free time. I'm a Graduate/Deck License Cadet at SUNY Maritime and during my break, I like to occupy my free time with creative means. Learning about Maersk Triple EEE Vessels in school and understanding the cargo capacity of 18,000 TEUs, I felt it would be fun in building a replica of this monumental feat in human ingenuity and creativity.

This was really fun to build.

I have been looking at this product for a while but never pulled the trigger. When I went to but it lego no longer sold it, but thank god for eBay. I received it and stated to put it together. There was one missing piece missing but I was able to use another piece in its place (same shape just a different color). It probably took me about 10 hours to build (2 days). I still have not put the stickers on the containers yet.

I really liked how it turned out. I especially like the stand it comes with that gives you detail of the real ship and also allows you to display it nicely. Will definitely buy more items like this one.Read full review

They have managed well to copy the original vessel, but there is one small detail I am missing and that is the bowthruster. Since I am a Master Mariner myself, these small detail matters!
