Lego Star Wars 2...does not dissapoint

This game (in my opinion) is better than the first lego star wars. I bought this one because I have played the first and it was a lot of fun. You won't be disappointed if you buy this and expect just as much out of it as the first or are just looking for a new game.

Graphics 8
If you buy this game, you're not doing it for the graphics. Everyone is blocky and such but that's because it's lego and it doesn't look too bad, but it could have looked better

Controlls 10
The controlls, simply put, are EXTREMELY easy to get used to. Younger kids can learn how to play without almost any instruction whatsoever, same with other novice, older gamers.

Sound 10
Music is just the same as it was off the movies. Sounds great and goes good with the gameplay. Some of the force sounds when you use it on certain objects are a little quirky... but hardly noticeable.

Gameplay 10
There are LOTS of extras to unlock on this game. Every level has certain requirments you must meet to unlock a new character or vehicle or bonus round. I spent hours and hours going through every level trying to find every extra. There is even a percentage shown to the amount of hidden objects in the game so you know how far you in you are.

Replay value 5
I personally can't play this game over again. I don't know why, I've seen younger kids play this game over and over, but for me personally as an experienced gamer I can't play it more than once after it has been beaten. The characters all get old after a while (although unlocking the emperor and running around electricuting everything in your path never gets old).

All in all I give this a 4/5. If only there had been a way to make it more fun after completing it... Oh well, still a great game and shouldn't be looked over when scanning for a new way to spend your gaming time.

Lego Star Wars II - Fun and Addictive

This is the perfect game to play with my four-year old son. It must be mentioned that my family plays video games together often, so my son is very video game savvy for a 4 year old. However, I believe that any four year old child could figure out how to play this game.

I think this game is an improvement of it's predecessor. There seems to be so much more to do in this game, which leads to hours upon hours of family fun! For instance, in this game there are gold power bricks that you can collect to build some very special things. One thing the gold bricks build is Lego City; a complete city that is full of things to shoot/use the Force on and studs to collect. The other thing that the gold power bricks build is a stud fountain which spews studs constantly. You have to collect every single gold brick to acquire the fountain, but it's a great goal and my son and I had such a great time reaching it. There are more goals you must reach in this game before you can reach 100%, and that's what makes this game so fun to play!

I cannot wait until the third chapter of this game comes out, because I will be first in line to get it! The Lego series of games is a godsend for parents who love gaming and want to play with their children. They are fun for grown-ups and kids alike.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (GameCube)

When my father-in-law bought a GameCube for my two boys (5 & 7 yrs), my husband and I were NOT HAPPY! We've been trying to keep them away from game systems as long as possible. Inevitably, we would have to give in, we knew.... So, now was the time. Their cousins have the Lego Star Wars I. They've enjoyed playing with their cousins. So, as a Christmas gift, we decided to go with the madness and get them Lego Star Wars II.

The greatest thing about this game is the fact that it's two players at once. No one has to wait. You don't need turns. No timers involved! They both play and drop out at their own free will.

And you can't discount the fact that it's about Star Wars. One of the greatest movie franchises ever! I introduced them to the movies myself. We love the sounds that R2 makes in the game. It's great to see the brothers working together to a single goal. And they figure out between themselves who's going to do what. It's like they actually like each other or something. And, they have a common goal to act nicely and keep their room clean! Those things are necessary to play the GameCube and Lego Star Wars II.

All in all, this game does have lots of cartoony violence...light sabers and guns...but no blood and it's Hero Lego people killing "bad guys" usually. If your kids love Legos and love Star Wars...this is the game for you.

Even Little kids like it

While I am a bit leery of the amount of toy violence this game shows, it is obviously "cheesy" violence, with legos raining everywhere when something gets "killed."

I bought this for my 6, nearly 7, year old son, and not a day goes by that he's not playing it. There are masses amounts of problem-solving skills embedded in the game, budgeting requirements, creative play, and team building skills when more than one player is involved. Even his twin 4 year old sisters love playing this game with Bubby.

Players must solve logic problems to finish tasks, and work co-operatively to complete those tasks (literally - players cannot move away from each other - it's work together or freeze); players receive pieces as rewards that can be used to "buy" other characters or other features within the game (hence the budgeting aspect); and finally, players can create their own characters to use in free-play mode.

I definately recommend this as not only a FUN game, but a slyly educational one, as well.

LEGO Star WarsII: The Original Trilogy (Gamecube)

My son loves this game. He likes the fact that he can change characters to handle different challenges. As a parent, I think it is confusing but kids can figure out anything. He has been playing this games for a year or so at other kids houses, and has played it a lot at home and still has not completed it, so I think you get a lot of play time for your money.Read full review...

Making Grandkids Happy

My Grandson sat on my lap as we perused Ebay "Games". We searched for Wii games and he picked out all the Lego Games. This one had the best deal. I asked my other sons if a Wii would play with a Game Cube and the answer was "YES" but now I have to buy a particular CONTROLER so the two will play together. Just a "heads up" but the Star Wars Lego games are really Fun for Everyone! I got a good deal and another on the controler, thanks to Ebay.Read full review...

Lego star wars is simply fun. The first game was great, and the second just improves on everything I liked in the first. Definitely one of the best games for it's price out there

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (GameCube)

Well, this past XMAS my kids got Lego Star Wars and they LOVED IT. They could not put the game down. We were thrilled because they both love playing more Teen oriented games and we would rather they played games more suited to their age group. Most games out there for their age just don't keep their attention. But they were hooked once Lego Star Wars came into the house. So, we decided that this sequel would be the next logical choice. I ordered it here on ebay and they were glued to the mailbox looking for the game to arrive.

Upon arrival the game did not disappoint. Awesome graphics, easy to follow storyline, Great levels and best of all entertaining.

Highly recommend this game to anyone with smaller kids and pre-teens.
