As Far As I Can Tell...
As far as I can tell, this is a decent DVD player. It does indeed play all regions of DVDs and has good picture quality. The only weirdness I found with the player is that the picture was square and didn't fill the entire TV screen but I resolved this by pressing the RESOLUTION button on the remote and HARK! The picture was full screen. Other than that little oddity, the player is easy to use, very compact, and so far, so good. The DVD drawer seems to be a bit on the fragile side but if used with care, there should be no drawer casualties. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.Read full review...

The only thing I dislike is that you have to hold the remote just inches away from the player in order to start playing. After that, it works from farther away just fine, including pause, and then play.
I bought two of these, and both players do this, and both remotes do this.

I had bought one before for me and another for my Dad. I wanted to watch some region 2 DVDs and you just put DVD in and go. It worries what region, no programing needed. It plays all 9 regions.

Solid dvd player
What can I say other than, so far it works like it should? No crazy bells and whistles about it. Played a region 2 dvd with no problem at all. I do like that I can use the dvd remote to adjust the volume on my tv. LG did pretty solid here. Doesn't feel cheaply made. Awesome player at tiny price!
This LG multi-region player is awesome and inexpensive. I had a Philips for about a year and it just would not turn on anymore. The LG is a much easier machine to use as the remote is just like the ones I have on the Sony and Magnavox players. The functions work the same. Easy to slo-mo and FF.
