Great camera, pictures, videos, but lacks in other areas

I bought this mainly for the camera and it did NOT disappoint. The 13.5 megapixel camera takes awesome pictures!!
The Quad HD video is CRISP! I didn't know this camera had this capability. BONUS!!

Having 32 GB internal memory and 128 expandable memory is awesome. Another reason for this phone. Now I don't have to buy another memory card. EVER!!

The other features are relatively common. It's speed didn't seem outstanding and battery life seems typical.

The only problem I am having is the touch screen on some game apps. It's not as responsive as other, more primitive phones that I have had in the past. If it weren't for this, I'd easily give this phone 5 starts.

Overall very solid

Overall this phone has been very good in the 3 weeks or so that I have had it.
I only know to compare it to my previous phone and so the comments are based on that comparison (LG Optimus L90)
Pros:
- I like that this phone was not super expensive, but is a good quality phone.
- The phone is fast, I click on an app or something it goes right there (may seem silly, but again I am comparing to my last budget phone).
- Camera is good enough for me (again comparing to old phone and I'm not huge on picture taking).
- Screen is nice, very clean/vibrant.

Cons:
- Battery life. I heard the battery is a little poor because the screen is supposed to be really good. (Battery is not horrible by any means. I can usually get through the day I usually use it lightly early then heavy in the evenings)
- Charge time. sometimes it takes a long time to charge (for some reason it has taken 4 hours to get to 80% this morning).

Overall I like this phone and it is solid! I am a basic user, I don't need all the bells and whistles...just a good, sleek, low budget phone that can do all the basics.

Still best value for your mobile phone dollar!

The LG G3 D851 (specifically the T-Mobile variant, but works on other networks, too) is, for the low $100 dollars, still the undefeated buy-your-own cell phone champ for frugal consumers who want a full-featured mobile beast. But why?

VALUE - This was a flagship phone for LG and it's encores G4 & G5 would probably have supplanted it as the best value (mainly because they have the newer T-Mobile LTE Band-4), but they are plagued with "bootloop" issues and not recommended. Therefore, the G3 remains one of LG's mobile masterpieces for a C-note.

PROS - Great, vibrant display, sleekly ergonomic (power/volume located rear-center was brilliant), 3GB of RAM!!!, 32 onboard memory, microSD slot, good audio, call clarity/quality & speakerphone.

CONS - No LTE Band-4, mediocre battery life (the price you pay for 3GB of ram and lots of background apps running stably), getting long in the tooth (~3 years old) but the improvements in mobile phones have be much smaller increments over that period of time.

Awesome and dird cheap phone

Great yesteryear uber cheapo phone with awesome screen, pretty small size for 5.5 inch, fits well in the hand and is very light yet durable. The back side is somewhat slippery so you better get a case. Only t-mobile model D851 comes with a factory unlocked bootloader which allows unlimited customization with custom ROMs and such. It is pretty easy to root and put a custom recovery on and there you go unchaining it. I also love the fact that it comes with replaceable
battery and SD card for beefing up the storage. Once phone is rooted and completely debloated it provides better battery life, faster and lag free UI and greater privacy with built-in
spyware (CIQ) removed. The included battery as weak (under 3hrs SOT) but once I replaced it
with extended life battery (~5000 mAH and around $14) - I got a screen time of about 5 hrs. and with moderate use can probably get around 2 days of use between charges. As a matter of fact I fell in love with the phone and have not used my Axon 7 since. The camera is pretty good, easily comparable to Note 4 camera and is good with low light shots. Conversation sound quality is loud and clear. With further sound enhancements such as Viper and Dolby Atmos (rooted only) speaker loudness increases tremendously. It is still rocking a good ol' fashioned headphone jack and sounds really good with headphones.

If need a good reliable and inexpensive option that will give you a great device on the cheap
then this is for you. If you need latest bells and whistles and gimmicky features such as fingerprint reader (Why???) then get a new note 8 or v30 and pay 10x the priced. If you are technologically challenged and loaded then get iPhoneX and shock your friends with Orwellian
scan feature.

Powerful Phone, Lots of Features, Mediocre Battery

This is a great phone. The camera takes really good pictures. The screen is amazing; it is bright enough to be seen in sunlight and can be dimmed very low for night use. It's thing, but curved at the back although it doesn't shake around when flat on a table.

The battery life is so-so. It has a 3000mAh battery and will get you through the day with a few hours of WiFi use and maybe a movie. Although I have certain features enabled like double-tap the screen to wake which may use more battery or prevent deep sleep. It'll get you from 6AM to 8PM with 20% left.

The most unique part of this phone is the Power/Vol+/Vol- keys which are dead center beneath the camera. This is for smaller hands which might have trouble holding the phone with one hand and using the usual side buttons. It is weird at first but you will get used to it and it works very well.

The phone is fast. Although it's a couple years old it has lots of staying power and will most likely still be powerful enough for a few years of use. I upgraded from an Galaxy S3 which was starting to struggle with modern websites and browsers but this thing runs like a dream.

Very much recommend if you find it for a decent price, but keep in mind G4's are starting to come down in price and eventually (but probably not soon) the G5 will also become more affordable.

Very good but...

The phone itself is very good, great camera quality, great storage space, ect. One thing is that the phone tends to overheat a bit and cause the battery life to waste quickly.

This is a great phone

The phone looked better than expected with in my opinion light scratches on the sceen and housing. The phone runs fine and had to be updated several times to the latest android version to date android marshmellow or 6.0. This phone has a big but managable screen size and runs smooth.Read full review...

Worth the price

I have bought 3 G3 phones and they work well. These phones have same specs as other more expensive phones. The battery holds a good charge. They have good ram and processor. Many people do not trust LG and go for "big" brands. Don't get fooled and try a LG. If you're not into fancy phones, you'll save a lot of bucks.Read full review...

T-mobile LG G3

I've always wanted one of these for a long time since the LG Optimus G Pro launch a couple of years ago.

It's compact and feels good in the hands. It's features, however, are far from minimalistic.

Plenty of power and a snappy camera w/laser focus. Can't ask for anything more.

I recommend this 2 year old beast to anyone that wants a large screen without a lot of landscape surrounding it.
