Good phone does the job and more

I bought this phone back on 08-10-2010.
It has been a very good phone; I have been able to respond to my friends text very fast as the keyboard is great and has 5 rows and a number row as well. I used this phone for a year and a half and it never gave me any trouble. had a few dropped calls but those people were using cricket.
The Good:
Has a nice touch screen, good signal in my area, keyboard, opera mini is fast, able to Yahoo IM, check my Facebook, Yahoo email, games, Great battery life, MP3 player, Camera and video camera, 3G, charges fast uses 3.5mm head phone jack, good speaker and was a cheap when i bought it.

The Bad:
Touch screen is lower end not as good as the newer phones sometime when touching the screen got to push real hard to get a response, YouTube plays but buffers a lot, drops to 1x some times :-(, & when watching long youtube videos it cuts out, I don't think virgin mobile ever had any updates to this phone. -________-

I got this phone with Virgin mobile the 25 $ plan which includes 2.5GB of data, 300 min of talk time (5 hours), and unlimited text, not bad for 27$ with tax.
never been much of a talker and it is good to have a phone just in case i need to call someone or to be in contact with friends and family.
it a lower end phone and if you want a cheap phone that does the job and a little more then i say get this phone as it is a great phone in my book.
I upgraded to the LG Optimus v and LG has been good to me. This phone has been good to me I enjoyed it very much & i enjoyed having it as my phone.

Nice phone Good price

Wanted a touch phone I could afford. I like that it is easy to use and has an awesome media player.I also like that it has the keyboard for texting. I dislike that when I bought this phone it said that it has the facebook and twitter apps, but virgin mobile told me they no longer work with this phone but yet they still advertise it does. You have to access these sites through the web browser,Opera mini. I was very disappointed in that.Over all it is a nice phone but I do not know that I would call it a smart phone just more of a touch phone.Read full review...

great phone, just a bit basic

I bought this product because I was sick of my touch screen keyboard. Keyboard isn't to bad at all, It just takes some time to get used to it. I wish their were more features like an android phone. Overall its easy to use and simple, which I guess I prefer.Read full review...

Two thumbs down on this phone.

I originally bought this phone because I wanted the full use of the qwerty keypad and larger screen with hopes of ease of use for the internet and texting. My phone, after a while started to not allow me to use the touch screen as easily anymore. Not a big deal right? Actually, it was. It was the start of my keypad sticking so I can barely text, my battery life lasting for maybe two people calling me (mind you I am not even answering), but if that ringtone is set, the phone will die on me. The touch screen still gets stuck or freezes on me and there are times where I can call someone, but oddly enough no matter what I can hear them they cannot hear me. This leads to me having to call people and places back repeatedly. All in all, my experience has not been all that pleasant and I am looking forward to getting a new phone soon.Read full review...

You can,t go wrong with this phone

The LG Rumor Touch is a great phone. I had one with sprint and I liked all of its features. It,s very user friendly.I use the MP3 player while I workout and texting is also easy. I think the sliding keypad is my favorite. If I had to choose a phone to buy this would be it.Read full review...

Overlooked but solid, excellent phone! Love it so much!

I bought one of these back in 2010 and loved it. It's not a smart phone or an iPhone, so there's a lot it doesn't do (no apps, for instance, and it seems to have a problem displaying received texts that include emoticons), but it was so durable and reliable and I loved it. I had it for 4+ years and it was still going strong. Then, a couple weeks ago, my purse was stolen, along with my Rumor Touch. I then got a new, all-touchscreen phone the next day (no slider phones to be found), which I used for two weeks, but I couldn't stand its interface (and it had terrible sound quality) so I looked for and found the Rumor Touch here on eBay. I have never been so relieved and happy as I was when I switched back to this new Rumor Touch. Sanity was restored.

One day maybe we'll all have to have all-touchscreen phones, but, until then, I will cling to my Rumor Touch. It does everything I really need it to do: can check and write e-mails, can look things up on google and wikipedia, can watch YouTube videos, can text super quickly and easily, and can talk on the phone! (Some cell phones these days -- like the Kyocera I had for two weeks -- are terrible for actually talking on the phone.) It can sometimes be a little slow and a little glitchy, but nothing major or chronic.

This phone has a user-friendly slide-out qwerty keyboard, a user-friendly display, good sound quality on phone calls, and a very long battery life. I am just really happy with it. The old one was a little work horse, and I expect this one will be, too. If you like a tactile keyboard and a solid phone that gets you on the internet but not all the fancy apps, this is a good phone for you.

Terrible MISTAKE in purchasing a phone with as many flaws as this one has!!

I did lots of research from professional reviewers as well as users from various sites(all different users). The LG Rumor Touch was rated mostly 4 to 5 stars with users very pleased with phone especially for price. After purchasing and before activating it I studied manual to familiarize myself with features.
After activating it I was fairly pleased but still uncomfortable with some features. However, after about two and a half weeks of use I noticed the terrible battery life, letters skipping over each other in texts, failure to swap and return to previous caller, dropped calls, and having to remove the battery several times in order to get a text to send. There are several other instances that happen but mostly the ones mentioned were enough that I had to purchase another phone and could not return this phone as it was past the time allotted.
I would have to say this is one of the poorest decisions I have made in purchasing a cell phone in all of the 25 plus years that I have had a cell phone. I would never recommend this phone to anyone no matter what reviews or ratings. I am only sorry that I wasted money that I had budgeted for since I live on social security. The fact that I live on social security in no means insinuates that I am not savvy in the uses and terminology of technology used as I am very computer knowledgeable with software. hardware and technical applications necessary to be very competent with any programs I use or how to take care of most technical issues that do not require a complete adjustment by professionals. I am telling you this so there is no question that I was not operating this phone improperly. It is just not a phone I would EVER recommend to anyone and quite frankly wish I had never purchased it. I have purchased another phone and feel that I will enjoy using my new phone and all of the applications available to me.

LG Rumor Touch- a great phone, camera, and so much more!!

I bought the LG Rumor Touch phone for my teenager. It is a fantastic phone at a very good price!!!! The touch screen makes this phone easy to use and the graphics are beyond my expectations. The features are too many to mention- the camera alone is amazing.. there are so many things you can do with photos!!!!! Would I buy this phone again? Certainly!!!!Read full review...

Overall, I suppose this is a good dumb smartphone.

This phone is decent, it isn't really a smartphone but more of a glorified regular phone. It would have a decent media player if it didn't take 45 seconds to start. Another starting problem is how long the phone initially takes to boot up, it's like 25 to 30 seconds. These may not be a big deal to you but you know every body has different needs. But the thing is a lot of people say that the keyboard is hard to use, the touchscreen is glitchy, when you shut it, it turns off, and so on, these are not problems. I have had this phone for 2 months and nothing has happened at all. (And I have been pretty rough on it.)Read full review...

decent product

I have been looking to get a touch screen, this is actually a good phone. had more cosmetic wear (scratches in screen) that werent initially seen but in overall good shape. screen seems to function well and i like the space of the keyboard. Its a nice size, not too bulky. Seems to be an overall good phone.Read full review...
