Internet completely worthless... Netflix wont even run.

as the title says this unit is essentially worthless if you plan to use it for streaming video such as Netflix. The Netflix app on my unit is completely useless and doesn't work at all only for two or three seconds at which point it freezes and never comes back to life until you unplug it to reset it. I let it sit for 3 hours one time trying to recover itself and then never did. it goes into a frozen State and will not return until you literally unplug the unit from the wall to reset it. There is no backing out of the app there are no buttons that will make the unit respond on the remote or the unit itself once it has frozen it is dead.

I purchased this Blu-ray player to mostly used for discs but a situation arose where I needed to connect it to Wi-Fi and play Netflix for the weekend. This task proved to be a massive waste of time because this unit is in capable of streaming any video whatsoever. I would be inclined to think that I got a lemon but this is the second LG device I've purchased in The Last 5 years that was supposed to stream video over Netflix through a wireless connection and both of them have failed spectacularly at that task.

when you first turn this unit on it should be mentioned that it is very slow to boot. I really wish they had designed to this unit with more computing power. Either a better chipset or more RAM would have done this unit wonders but because they skimped on the hardware now the unit is essentially worthless unless you only plan to use it for playing DVDs or Blu-Rays.

to make a unit such as this one and market it for sale as a device that can stream Netflix specifically and then not put the hardware that is necessary to complete that task it is honestly very misleading and telling of the company that produces the product. I would not recommend anyone buy this product and if I needed it to stream Netflix I would have returned it immediately but because I have other devices that can stream I'm going to keep this one for use with a smart TV that has Netflix built into the TV anyway. I have other DVD players in TVs with Netflix apps and all of those work just fine I'll be at they are slower than a phone or a PC but they work. This LG unit does not work at all no matter how long you wait the Netflix app will not recover it will crash and make you restart. Yes I did the software update from the website and it still crashes

It is always loading. It doesn't play well online.

I had been using HDMI to watch Netflix and YouTube. I bought this product to see the movies and the videos in a better quality. But it is always loading during the shows for some reason. It depends neither on the platform nor on the video itself. There is no problem with my internet connection either. I'm unfortunately back at using HDMI again. I now use it for Blu-Ray DVDs only. Those play well. Long story short, if you'll be using internet with this Blu-Ray, I do not recommend this particular product.Read full review...

The KISS (Keep it simple S...) applies very well.

I have a rule: simplicity of function is best. I bought this unit because it does one thing: play blu-ray and DVD discs. So far it works flawlessly. I did have one problem but that was due to an alien device in the electronic trail; it was a switch between the player and the TV. I had that there because I had more devices than inputs. When I removed the switch and one other device everything got better. As I said above, the more functions that your device does the more likely you are to have some problem. If you want a player buy just that and this one seems to be a very good one.Read full review...

It ain’t super - but a great value - does the job well

I bought this near bottom of all main-stream lime players to solve a baseline use. It does the job well. This refurb works perfectly. It was packed and wrapped as if it was from a pro refurb shop. (LG?). The only disappointment is the remote seems to need a very direct aim.

But in the end this was a purchase I am very happy with.

Doogies viewing

I wouldn't say it was getter than expected but it is a good product. It has a very good picture, is easy to navigate through and quite easy to set up. Time will be the true factor here in how long it lasts.Read full review...

LG Life's Great

Being able to watch your favorite TV shows and movies is made easy with LG, Netflix, and Hulu along
with Amazon, Vudu and YouTube.
Wireless capability at it's best. My internet connection is downstairs in my kitchen and the BP350 picks up the signal
as well if not better than a wired unit.
Clear pictures and great sound. Life's Good with LG.

Decent player but cheap Remote Control

As far as picture quality it works as well as my Sony Blu Ray player. However the Remote Control that comes with the unit is very cheap and doesn't have all the functions that my Sony has.

It plays Zone B Blu-Ray discs with no problem.

Plays Zone B BluRay discs with no problem. For multi-region DVDs it is automatic. To pay another Zone for Blu-Ray you have to press 1,2 or 3 when the DVD is in an open tray. Then it closes and configures for the selected zone. Works great at a very reasonable price.Read full review...

Blue Ray the Hard Way

Drawer Sticks and has to unplugged and rep lugged back in. Does not work with Bluetooth headphones and I laid $29 too much. Suggest look for a new one on Best Buy which had I known I would have done. My Toshiba went belly up and I need an all region that works for my digital research. We’ll see how it works when I need to use it for a non-USA disc. E.Read full review...
