Great show, a must for any Legend of the Seeker fan.

I used to watch this show when it aired on Sundays a few years back on ABC. Little did I know the show was actually owned/produced by Disney (of all people) and the majority of the crew were people who worked on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

This show is very well written, family friendly, action packed. I honestly do feel that this 2nd season isnt quite as good as the 1st season and the final show down with the main villian of this season is a let down (compared to how they build it up and up). It left me thinking: "wow, thats it? Seemed a bit too easy".

If your into midevil type "Lord of the Rings", "Hercules", "Zena: Warrior Princess" type shows, you'll love Legend of the Seeker. Even if you are a gamer and really into like World of Warcraft and its storylines and charactors, you'll love this show. I just HIGHLY recommend watching season 1 before this.

Overall its a great buy, inexpensive for what you get compared to other shows and will definatly keep you and your family entertained for hours :). I just wish they hadnt canceled the show and made a 3rd season. Id love to have seen where they would have taken the plot.Read full review...

Legend Of The Seeker DVD /E-BAY Praise

I love DVD sets. I am sad, that there is only two seasons of The Legend Of The Seeker. I have loved The sword of Truth novels since the first book came out and have traveled along on the journey for over two decades. I received my first season as a X-Mas present, and was overjoyed to see the books were on TV ..finally...I always thought he books would make a perfect movie. So having watched the first season in one setting I wanted more....and there is a season two!...Checking all the usual retail stores I was pretty angry that it was listed for 48.00 ( plus S&H)...that is a lot... for a DVD even for a series I love.
And then I check E-Bay and won an auction and spent 21.00 plus S&H.....I just wanted to say I LOVE E-BAY. I haven't used E-Bay in almost 6 years but I am an avid fan now.Read full review...

Midieval fantasy done well.

Legend Of The Seeker is an action-packed, cohesive Midieval fantasy that plays on many of the typical themes (hero waiting to be discovered, magic sword and other magic devices, wizards, a powerful enemy, and of course, beautiful assistant characters). In addition, the scenery of the show is the best of New Zealand's fabulous parklands -- the big sweeping land shots are awesome.

What also sets this series apart are the plot lines of each episode. They're usually well crafted and make sense. They're believable, so you don't get bored very often. Some of the dialog rambles occasionally, but that can be passed with a click of your remote control. The relationship between the hero (the Seeker) and his protector (the Confessor) is fun and interesting.Read full review...

A lot of swords and socerery to be seen..

This drama is set in medieval times. The characters have special powers that enable them to triumph over death and disfigurement. I have not seen the earlier DVD, but the jist of the story quest is shown. I would have wanted less sword fights and wars, but it fills in the time between dialog nicely.Read full review...

Fantastic Magical Adventure Series!

Lots of scenery depicting days of old. Love the series and was sad to see it go. If you love scenery, magic, gothic, Merlin type stuff, you will really enjoy this series! There is some love and romance..so saying that, some women may also find this great to watch with you gents! Total good versus evil thing going on in these series, but good almost always prevails. This is a great series worth owning, fan of the books or not :-)

The second season of Legend of the Seeker really came into its own. Mord Sith Cara joins the trio as they set out to defend the Midlands and D'hara from the hands of the Keeper (aka Lord of the Underworld). Darken Rahl returns as Richard's long lost brother and acts as both an enemy and a friend. This season is just wonderful and I think it is a shame this show was cancelled.Read full review...

A great science fiction series with more plot and fun than gore!

After getting hooked on this series with Season 1, watching Legend of the Seeker Season 2 continued what I thought was a great series with good plots, good supporting actors, and themes that keep you engaged and guessing for most of the episodes. If you saw the TV series, you will love the DVD set. If you didnt see the TV series, and you like magic, mystery, excitement, and tales of olde, you will still love this.
