Protective matte coating started chipping and rubbing off immediately..Works well otherwise, red eraser button doesnt work on my thinkpad x230t

Works well but the red eraser button does not connect or work. Side button works well along with everything else...BUT the coating covering the pen immediately started coming off after inserting the stylus to store inside my Thinkpad.
