For those with generations of American Heritage a book well worth reading.

Classic American Literature. Focuses on the struggles of families trying to survive the depression in Oklahoma during the dust bowl. Publication date is generally accepted as 1939.
The narrative follows the Joads, a family of tenant farmers forced to leave Oklahoma. Along with thousands of others, they flee the dust bowl and poverty and head for California with the promise of a better life.

Considered an historically accurate depiction of the life of the poor farm laborer. Still it it is rich in spirit as shown in the strong mother holding her family together with firmness, encouragement, courage and love.

The reader will find it both heartwarming and heart breaking.

Brilliant!

Well first of all I absolutely love John Steinbeck. I fell in love with his writing 50 some years ago when I first read “Grapes of Wrath”. I’ve done a lot of reading in my 71 years and John Steinbeck is still my number one.
The book itself was in beautiful condition! I am absolutely delighted, so pleased I cannot tell you! Thank you so much!
