Lichdom: Battlemage (Microsoft Xbox One, 2016)

Interesting Concept, Poor execution

Game plays and looks like a 1990s PC game. I felt like I was playing Heretic on my old Gateway PC in the 90s.

Movement is too quick, controls are clunky, and spells are so repetitive it's boring.

The graphics, terrible.

Level design is totally linear.

The enemies just charge at you wildly, barely any AI.

I only played the first level before I put the game away.

The positive: My 3 year old finds it fun. But he isn't allowed to play it.

In a nutshell it's a poor FPS that uses ranged "spells" instead of guns. If you like dark and dreary poor quality then this game is for you.

If you are expecting Skyrim, Diablo, etc it falls very short.Read full review
