NOT RELIABLE - Tested OK when first installed; FAILED within 2 weeks

Bought two at the same time, #1 for immediate use, #2 as a spare.

PROBLEM: Installed #1 and two weeks later it failed -- (1) Despite having the oven dial set at "off," the control would not stay completely off which caused the oven flame to cycle on/off/on/off endlessly ... and the oven temperature never dropped below 130 to 150 degrees; and (2) With the oven dial set at 200 degrees, the temperature soared WAY above 400 degrees.

CURE: Installed spare control #2 and tossed the bad #1 in the trash. Ordered one more (#3) to keep as a spare.

REPORT: 4 weeks later, control #2 seems to be working OK. We'll see how long it lasts.Read full review...

Great aftermarket part

The shaft for the oven knob was 1/8" shorter than the GE model. I put a small bead in the Oven knob and made it work. Now the oven bakes like a mew one and my daughter is thrilled.

Cheap and easy

Oven thermostat
