Great Remote---highly recommend!!!!

I would highly recommend the Logitech 360 Remote. I have only been using the remote for a short time, but so far it has been the best universal remote I have used. It was extremely easy to set up, after installing the software it took about ten minutes to setup the remote and adjust the settings to my components.
I purchased the remote to replace an existing universal remote that would not work with my brand new TV, I was very pleased to find the Logitech remote was compatible with brand new TV. It also has a better signal than my previous remote, I can use the logitech from wider angles and farther distances. Overall a great product and easy to use.
I am using the remote w/ a Panasonic TV, Panasonic DVD player, X-box 360, AT&T Cable DVR, and a Yamaha A/V Receiver.

Controls all of my devices and all of their functions.

Before buying this remote, I had to use 4 supposedly universial remotes. I opened the packaging and pressed xyab; Bam! my Xbox was now controlled with this remote. It also controls my Hitachi HDTV, Phillips DVD Home Theatre, and At&T Uverse DVR/cablebox.

I wrote down the model numbers for my devices, put the cd in my computer, plugged the remote in via USB, then followed the onscreen prompts. It took about ten minutes and the software recognized all my devices on the first try. Very user Friendly!

In fact everything worked on the first try. Recording TV, fast forwarding, menus, volume, everything! The remote automaticly shuts off the devices I'm not using and turns the right one's on. It also puts devices on the correct inputs for you. Switching from TV to Xbox or Radio to DVD can be down with by pressing only 2 buttons. (Example: Activities then Watch Tv)

The only bad thing is the small number buttons. It's a very minor issue and actually the only issue I have with this product. It's also very lightweight and backlit. If you own an Xbox and need a universal remote, then this item is perfect for you. A+++

Logitech's Harmony Xbox360 Remote Rocks

I bought this as a slightly used item off Ebay and... wow ...I was impressed. The remote can be programmed and customized from start to finish with a USB cable connected to your computer. The software that Logitech made to program the remote is smooth and intuitive. The remote picks up all my devices and allows me easy control of them. PLUS, the multiple task buttons or "activities" allow you to program a button to just "Watch DVD" or such. When I press this activity button it goes down the checklist I have programmed it to: 1) Turn On TV 2) Switch TV to Input 3) Turn on DVD Player... and etc (you get the picture). Not only does the remote control all my devices (5 at this point), but it does it with Intelligence! Great job Logitech!!Read full review...

Actually got better over time!

I first got one of these years ago when I got my Xbox 360 and paired it up w/ my Media Center PC. Back then it was somewhat convenient, but the television I had didn't play too nice w/ the Harmony and truth be told, the 'Activities' programming was a pain and if you didn't ensure the remote was in the exact last state it was in the last time you performed an 'activity', would easily get confused.
However... two television sets later, and new devices like my Roku player, and with vastly improved software from Logitech, the programming and functionality of these Harmony remotes are much, much better. I've dug out this remote from the bottom of the drawer and so glad I did.
For the 'not too inclined' types, simply run the software, enter in the model numbers of the equipment you have, and you're ready to go. If you have a device that's incredibly generic, you may have issues.
For those who are willing to really dig deep and take a look, you can do about anything here. You can make it so that one setting controls the DVD player while still able to adjust volume on the TV and still program another button to control something else. You can literally 'combine' remotes here.
'Activities' is still a little wonky for me, even today... again, it goes back to once you execute an activity, you have to ensure the remote and all devices remain in that 'activity' before attempting to execute the next, or else it gets confused (Harmony users know exactly what I'm talking about here).

Also... the greatest thing about Harmony... since it's programming is updated and downloaded from the Net, it is (as of this writing) the ONLY all-in-one remote with the ability to control Roku players! so I can even put away my Roku remote... even BETTER, the Harmony remote ADDED a button that wasn't on my original Roku remote! ("Options")... SWEET!

Now that I get more usage out of this and since the Harmony software has vastly improved, I am considering looking into a second (used) one. It would be totally worth it.

Now... if only Harmony can somehow make a keyboard/pointing device (like the DiNovo Mini) and COMBINE it with a programmable Harmony remote for the ultimate HTPC contoller... then I would be in heaven.

get rid of them all !!!!!

this thing dose it all !!! and it dose it well . but not perfect .

PROS :
- very functional
- programing is easy
- looks great
- perfectly integrates the xbox 360 into your entertainment center
- easy to use onboard help system

CONS :
- would have liked to see a rechargeable usb battery like the rest of the 360 gear
- not an rf remote only an ir, so that limits it slightly
~ not as smooth to navagate the 360 dash board for old controler hands but it is easyer to use because of the buttons (hard to explain)

this thing dose it all !!! and it dose it well . but not perfect . the program is easy to use and pretty strait foward . looks awsome too . its nice to control every thing at once and very easily , even the x-box !!! it swaps tasks with out a hitch and if there is a problem there is an onboard help system that is very easy to use . i dont think i would pay 100 bucks for it but thats why i got 1 off here for less than that . i feel like this remote realy helped unleash my xbox 360 abilities as far as movies online and music at home , kinda took time away from gameing tho :( but worth its worth it !!!

Great Remote!

The remote is worth purchasing. We bought 2! The one used for our regular tv is set up for the game station (xbox) as well, and we've had no problem with that set up. The one we use for our projector has issues turning on the projector. We still have to do that manually. I think it may be a projector issue though? Setting up the remote took a little time, as we couldn't get anything to work at 1st with the projector. After a few times of resetting the remote, it finally worked for the most part (still doesn't turn it on). Also like the fact that we don't have to have a separate remote for the cable box, but we still get all the features of it! Works well with our ipod speakers too!Read full review...

One of those "must have" devices

The Logitech Harmony 360 Remote for use with the X-Box 360 is one of those gadgets that you have to have. Its easy set-up is surpassed only by its ease of use. I had a different Harmony remote and traded up to the 360 when I got an X-Box. No more fishing around trying to find each remote for different devices in your collection of electronics. This truly is the last remote you will ever buy.Read full review...

Very Nice Remote. Surprisingly easy to program

At a first glance i thought this remote will take forever to program and it wont work everything i have. After purschasing it i saw it came with software so you download the files to the remote without using and codes. software is very user friendly all you do is put in you tv/dvd/radios model # and its done. I also like the activities button which turn on everything you need and puts it on the right input. press "watch TV" and it turns on your dvd recorder and tv. i also liked the help button with fixes the problem if the remote got the inputs wrong. The only con is that it is very expensive $99 retail but on ebay you can get it for as low as $50Read full review...

Rad stuff.

Works great, a little “loved” but it’s an older product. Bought for nostalgia purposes for new apartment, had to take apart and clean contacts on a button or two but not out of the ordinary for these types of buttons age.Read full review...

My favorite remote

I had a Harmony 880 for 7 years it was great. But then the buttons slowly one by ob stopped working. I didn't really like the new remotes that logitech has so luckily I found this one. It is the same remote I had just it's the pro version. All the buttons work great. There was no reprogramming because the software automatically did it all and uploaded it to the new one.Read full review...
