Guud Gawd, I want my money back.
The Logitech MX Keys Mini have some ideas behind it that may sound good on paper but are horid to experience in real life.
So,
What's to Like:
1) The keyboard has a a nice weight and good traction so it stays put.
2) While the keyboard is small the keys are nice and big. Easy to use.
What's to Not Like:
1) Intellegent backlighting that isn't intellegent. Apparently, for battery savings, or because users just aren't smart enough to know what brightness they need, Logitech put the keyboard in charge with light sensors.
Move your hands around and the light level changes. Take your hands away for more than 30 seconds and the light goes out. The brightness goes up and down as the clouds go by.
2) The whole brightness spectrum is to low by 3 or 5 lumins. The brightest setting is ok for darkness but to dim for dimly lit areas. The lowest settings turn the letters into the exact same color as the keys. You can't telll where anything is.
3) An Emoji Key,
This is sold as a "business" keyboard. Apaprently only one small segment of the business community matters. I don't remember needing many emojis for donstruction documents, floor plans, engineering reports. Not a lot of need for emojis in your org charts or shipping manifests. "Business" apaprently only includes litte tech kiddies and vloggers and snapchat users.
I could go on but I really don't see the point. At best this is a US$50 bit of kit but at $99+ it is flat out wallet @$%*. If you love emojis and poor backlighting then this is the keyboard for you. All others need not apply.Read full review...
