Excellent sound especially for the money
Set up is very easy and quick. Sound is excellent especially for the price. The bass definitely kicks. The overall sound quality and volume is better than anything I've listened to at more than 3 times the price. I've been exercising the speakers with everything from Cat Stevens, Bob Marley, AC/DC, Pantera, Jimi Hendrix and just about anything in between and I am very happy. The neighbors ... not so much. I Highly recommend. Stevie Ray Vaughan just came on so I'm back to disturbing the neighbors.Read full review

Overall satisfied
Pros- goof sound quality, small compact speakers, easy setup, probably best you can buy for price.
Cons- I like my music loud as hell. This system gets maybe to 1/3 of the level I wish it did. Also, subwoofer does not have individual volume control and is not as loud as I’d like it. I will be daisychaining an old sub to the system to help fill the void.
Overall, movies and music do sound great on this system. If you are on a tight budget looking for a decent small surround system, get this. If you like thunderous bass and loud as hell heavy metal music blaring all day, save you dollars and buy something with more punch to it. Read full review

worth the money
This system images perfectly... the abilty to use it for home and/or pc is awesome., the sound is very good... for the dollar amount, you probably wont get better sound... using the toslink digital optical cable does make a difference and they are inexpensive so definitely worth the money spent.
the sub is powerful, does it job well...the bass is not muddy, ... the center speaker accentuates the voices very clearly, ... rear speakers are actually hearable... and with the ability to adjust volume seperately to front/rear/sub/center seperately gives you good control over the surround sound, ... the effect choices are good , .. i like the fact it came with a control box and the remote control is nice, and seems to do the job well. lets face it..this is not a $1000 plus system.... dont expect sound of that.....but for the amount you pay, you do get sound pretty near a $1000 system.
i would recommend this system in a heart beart.
no regrets in purchasing this ..not on day 1, not now.Read full review

Logitech Z906 Surround Sound System
This is the third Logitech THX-certified speaker system I have owned. For the money, the sound is amazing. I have it connected to my HDTV and really enjoy watching movies with it turned up moderately loud. It is as close to a theater experience as I have experienced and better in that I never worry about other moviegoer's conversations or comments during a movie. This system has very commendable bass. Voices, background music, sound effects make it an ideal viewing experience for me. I did consider other systems with THX-certification, but the costs were more than double what I felt I could afford. Try it. I bet you love it as much as I doRead full review

Gear up and live it up, while jamming
I owned a Z5500 and I'm comparing this to that model. The module is the same. I can understand why. The Z5500 back light would burn out meaning you couldn't see anything. You get the same function out of it for example Stereo X 2 and digital Dolby. The sub woofer is smaller but seems to render the same level of bass if not deeper. The satellites speakers don't seem any different than the Z5500 model. After burning up my Z5500 model six months ago I'm super happy about this purchase. Haven't tested it on games yet. Sure I'm sure I will not be disappointed.
Now unless you're SO rich it pains you to settle for anything less than most expensive you'll love it too.Read full review

Holy snapple!
The basssssssssss!! Instructions were not clear of how to tune each speaker, but once you figure it out it's all good. Have a 4500 sq ft house. I can hear the bass throughout the whole house, and the bass isn't even turned up all the way. Satellite speakers sound great also! Highly recommended system!Read full review

Plenty of power
For watching TV and movies on TV. The speakers are of good quality. The best about this is the subwoofer. The subwoofer produces good bass reproduction and helps complete the sound well. It would be nice to have the ability to add subs, but this is adequate and capable of good sound.
I have two systems, one for each computer. Have used them for over one year and am very satisfied. Read full review

Over all nice unit. Many people have complained about over heating issues
Nice item if you can get it for around $200 otherwise find a good sound bar and sub combination. This item has a true surround sound therefore there are no treble and bass controls. I would prefer these controls so I can tweak the sound to my liking.
However the unit does have a power control where you can adjust each speaker to a desired level. If you want more bass you can turn the output level of the sub woofer up. It would be nice just to leave the sub level at a lower volume but only increase the bass.
I have several logitech speakers and this setup is pretty fancy. The lower model units that have the treble and bass controls really pack a punch. So if you want more bass get a cheaper logitech model. Overall this unit is good but people have noticed it fails after about a year from over heating. Many people say the unit gets hot while in use and there is not adequate cooling. I suggest you cut the power off when the unit is not in use.Read full review

Best set of computer speakers I've ever owned!
For the money, these cannot be beat. This is my 2nd set of the z906's. The first set lasted 6 years, and was taken out by a power surge... Usually with powered speakers you either get a decent amp and poor speakers, or great speakers and a not so good amp. Not the case with the z906s.. They are a good THX rated balance. You're not going to get audiophile, window shattering quality for this price, so if that's what youre looking for, keep looking. These are great for home computer / theater sound... They have a good variety of inputs as well. No HDMI or usbc.. but they do have spdif.. Read full review

Powerful 5.1 System. My 2nd Logitech Speaker Set
Very powerful 5.1 system. I have been using the Logitech Z623 2.1 system at my bedroom computer desk for the past five years and loved it. I just set up a workshop in my 2-car garage (22'x22') and wanted a surround sound system for my PC. I use this setup to listen to music and watch TV in the garage.
It is more than loud enough. I have never gone over 75% volume and it was extremely loud. The sound quality did not deteriorate at this volume either. The controller gives all of the equalizing and surround control settings you would need. I upgraded my PC's sound card to get more control and I love it.
I would highly recommend! Read full review

Good but not Excellent
The sound is big and large, however after connecting everything to an older SB Audigy 2Z, I did not see much improvement in sound. In fact, I heard the distortion in streaming music and iTunes that I did with the old Logitech system.
Fiddled with some add-on equaliser programmes that calculated the distance and sound configs, but little improvement.
Buying new ZxR soundcard to see if anything changes.Read full review
