Looney Tunes - Golden Collection: Vol. 2 (DVD, 2004)

I remember watching Looney Tunes Saturday mornings. Sometimes my dad would watch them with me and my sisters. He'd laugh out loud. How cool it was to laugh along with him. Purchased the set as a gift for our son in his early 20's. The other day caught him and our 4 year old grandson laughing out loud while watching the cartoons. It's great to see some things actually be a timeless treasure. Great fun for all ages, great viewing for a long travel trip in a portable dvd player or to fill short time spans. The menu for the dvd was a little confusing, but the cartoon and characters are priceless. cindyRead full review...

Loony Toons Golden Classic Set

I purchased this set to replace a set I already had. Someone had stepped and cracked one of the discs upsetting my grand daughter. When we received the Loony Toons set she was absolutely thrilled. They were in great shape and price was good.Read full review...

A Looney Tunes Classic.

This is an outstanding collection. I have not purchased any of the other golden collections, but Volume two is just wonderful. First disc includes Bugs Bunny classics, with Elmer Fudd and others. Second disk is my favorite, almost completely comprised of Road Runner and Coyote. I nearly split my sides watching some of the best ACME rocket explosions ever produced. Third disk is mainly Sylvester and Tweety, also very funny. The fourth disk has musical shorts, like the Bugs Bunny piano concerto and the jazz singing owl; "I love to sing-a, about the moon-a and the june-a and the spring-a!"

A very fine collection indeed, and it seems to be the lowest priced of all of the golden collections. Not sure why that is the case unless this is considered the 'worst' volume of the golden collection, and if that is the case I cannot wait to get my hands on the best!

The best Saturday morning entertainment ever...

The second volume of this great series of classic cartoons allows 60 more Warner Bros. animated shorts to get the DVD treatment. This set also has the consensus number one cartoon ever, What's Opera, Doc? This thing has commentaries galore! This WAS Saturday morning television for me. It also contains a disc full of Road Runner classics as well as a disc full of Tweety and Sylvester cartoons. This is so much fun!!!Read full review...

Great collection of classic cartoons

The second volume is definitely worth buying. For me it was especially worth it as the Dover boys cartoon is in this collection as well as the 3 bears/Father's Day toon and "The 3 Little Bops". The biggie though is "What's Opera, Doc?" which is also included. That is one of the most highly regarded of all of Warner's output. So along with those you'll get to see a group from Bob Clampett ("Porky Pig in Wackyland") along with some of Tex's and Chuck's toons. The bonus features are nice along with the added information you'll get from listening to the commentaries. I have the first volume and am looking forward to eventually getting all 6. Good quality although I wish they would have spent a little more to clean up some of the shorts - that would have also added to the expense so I imagine it was a balancing act for them on that one. Definitely worth the price of admission.Read full review...

Looney Tunes - Golden Collection: More genius from WB

This is yet another fantastic collection of Warner Brothers animation - the coyote/roadrunner disc is exceptionally great. It's a good mix of the older, more obscure material as well as favorites you know and have seen (and will continue to watch over and over again). Some of the material would be considered racy for kids by today's standards - I doubt it would fly with on current network tv - but nevertheless it's classic stuff that stands the test of time.Read full review...

Good old classic cartoons

I purchased this for myself especially to see Tweety Bird & Sylvester go at it with each other. Tweety always winds up beating the cat! I still haven't seen all of the episodes, but hopefully in the near future I will take some time to finish watching it.Read full review...

My toddlers can't get enough of Looney Tunes!

We had the volume 1 Golden Collection for some time. My husband is a big fan and wanted it for Christmas one year. Fast forward to 2 kids later and my 4 year old son and 2 year old daughter double-over laughing watching Looney Tunes cartoons. This Volume 2 does not disappoint. In fact, I'd say it is even better than the first! My kids prefer these sets to watching whatever is on Saturday morning network TV. :)

Decided to buy this set on ebay, because you just can't beat the value offered in auctions vs. paying the $40+ price tag for one of these collections at the big box stores.

Hours of enjoyment!!

Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Vol. 2

Hilarious! Some great cartoons from archives, some of my old favorites and some censored--cartoons that I watched often as a child and understood they were CARTOONS, not real!! I thought as a kid and still now that Looney Toons were the best. I bought it because they don't show them on TV anymore. I also thought it would be nice to have the collection or at least part of it. The discs are decorated with large colorful images of the characters and the packaging is great. I'm very pleased with my purchase.Read full review...
