Lord of the Realms III

This game was really good. The battles were well planned out and the castles looked great. The only problem with this game is that you could fight in one battle and your whole country will be destroyed. To avoid doing that destroy all of the other people's armies and then attack. I would probably like that game a little more if it was a turn based game. I don't think its as good when its continous. Also, you can't raise troops, the computer does it. If they made it like the old one I would like it better, but overall, it was a great game.Read full review...

Could have been better

I liked the original game, but this one does put a spin on it. Being a real time game, it can be confusing. If you dont support your lands, you'll get overtaken. Its not that bad, confusing at first, but once you get rolling, its like nothing can stop you, with a little strategy, you'll beat it in a week, think i'll sell my copy now :PRead full review...

Not the Best Sierra Product

Great idea for a strategy game, however the main overview of the board really doesn't have much for the player to do. You can enter the battlefield if you choose where battle can be played, but not much strategy can be used to fight. Lords of the Realm 2 is a little simplier and a lot more fun to play. Give this one a miss and go back to Age of Empire 2.Read full review...

What were they thinking?

LOTR3 really blew it when they moved away from the turn based format.

LOTR2 was a perfect combination of turned based country management + real time battles. I miss buying drinks for my peasants, managing their happiness, work and troup allocations.

LOTR3 would have done much better had they kept the same formula as LOTR2 with the improved graffics.

I recommend "Medieval Total War" which has better graffics and gameplay and is much closer to the LOTR2 experience.

Lord of the Realm

This looked like a great game but we have not been able to get it to work on the computer.Apparently it requires more graphics or memory than we currently have.

Wouldn't recommend this game

It's old, it's boring and there is very little to it. I played it for less than a week - kinda a waste of money. I bought it because Lords of the Realm II is the best game I've ever played and I figured the next one would be good or better. All in all, I don't recommend it.Read full review...

I prefer Lords of the Realm 2

Had a had time getting used to the style of the game. I dont like that it plays nothing like Lords of the realm 2. I was looking forward to this game when it came out but never got to play it and now wish i had never had the chance to play it.Read full review...
