Bonded Leather and very firm
The material used is not full grain leather. I can see the fabric base. At best, it's "bonded leather", so I'm not sure how long they'll last. Initial quality and workmanship look good (i.e. stitching is neat and the covers fit well). But I feel a bit misled in that the description said they're leather and the price was significantly higher than some vinyl covered arm pads. Also, they are quite a bit firmer than the arm pads that were on my chair when I first bought it. Read full review...

Not even close
Not an adequate replacement to the Herman Miller Aeron factory arm pads. They are the wrong shape, texture, and firmness. The stitching is on the top of the arm rest when it should be more underneath the rounded edges so it's not rubbing your arm the whole time. It is much firmer, much larger, and noticeably different leather texture - even at a distance.
Does it work as an arm rest? Yes. Will it pass as a replacement on the aeron? No
