MTH - 50 WiFi Unit

Looks nice. Well made. Needs some work however with connecting to the MTH DCS App. It loses the signal often. I don't know if this is the fault of the App or of the MTH - 50, or both. I keep the track and my engines very clean (denatured alcohol), and I have the 18 volt bulb connected to the Terminal Block to improve the signal as recommended in the DCS Instruction Manual (Which by the way, the Instruction Manual is terrible as is the MTH Website and especially the Download and Update instructions and procedures for the TIU!!!). When (If?) they get their act together for improving the connection with the MTH DCS App, it will be great. Until then, get ready for much frustration with operating your MTH Proto Sound engines remotely with this WiFi Unit!Read full review...

DCS WiFi adds another dimension to operating your trains.

If you want to use your ipad or phone to run your trains, then you need to get this unit. Just be sure you understand what cable you will need to connect it to your TIU.. It works well.
