Good value, as advertised

I was a little leery about buying a refurbished tool. After reading other buyers reviews I decided to take a chance, as the tools are advertised as factory refurbished, and I have quite a bit of faith in the Makita brand.
Other than a sticker and a small branded "R" on each tool, they actually appeared to be in new condition. I've used 18V Makita tools professional for many years now and bought these to use in situations where I might "beat them up" a little bit and for situations where I want to have different bits and drivers prechucked in several tools at the same time.....so far they're on par with all my other Makita tools, great.

After 18 months of daily use

Not my first Makita and not my last. My first was the compact impact driver recommended to me by a colleague, 20 years in the trade, who himself settled on Makita.

This is not the last drill set youll ever need. I wouldn't use it to drill 1/2 inch holes into wood or drive machine screws all day long, but for home DIY repairs, its near perfect with the light weight and almost compact level performance.

I'd recommend it for trim carpentry and cabinetry uses on a professional level. Just get a bigger battery. Read full review...

Outstanding performance, especially for such compact size. The impact driver is more powerful than 2 others I tested over the last year but the brushless motor keeps it much cooler as well.
