Great story update. Henry Cavill IS Superman!
The storyline is a good updating of the classic Superman story. The interplay of flashbacks is very helpful. I've seen all the Superman incarnations and Henry Cavill is perfect. I look forward to seeing him continue in the role. I also like that Lois Lane is not portrayed as helpless but a more capable and brave career woman.
On the other hand, the movie has a LOT of destruction. Just because the movie makers have the ability with CGI to blow things up, DOES NOT MEAN THEY SHOULD.Read full review

The most serious and entertaining Superman version I've ever seen! It is an adult oriented realistic portrayal that is loaded with action and intensity. This is the first time the titular Man of Steel has been presented in a real world setting and it is a triumph in every way. The musical score by Hans Zimmer is excellent as well.
