Used to make homemade stir plates for yeast cultures for homebrewing.

I brought a couple to make homebrew stirrer plate for preparing yeast cultures by varying the speed of a computer fan with neodymium magnets glued to the hub. It works well, for this application, but is sensitive to moisture, which causes leakage current. Putting an on off switch will fix this problem, and I have made 3 successful stir plates using surplus muffin fans, a couple of dime sized magnets, this dimmer, and a box.Read full review...

OFF does not mean OFF! The LEDs still draw power even with this dimmer set to "Off"

This seems to work, but a very big negative is that OFF is not OFF... Yes, the LED light is off, but when I see the word off, it should mean electrically not connected. In reality, in the off position, the LED light strip is still getting power - for my light strip, it was getting about 18 mA when it was "OFF". Is this important - well, maybe. I use this in my RV, and when I am on battery, I really don't want ANYTHING drawing down power when it is off, especially if I plan to stay camped for a week without power. 18 mA is not a lot, but it should be zero to be "off". So I am going to put an on/off switch in series with this so that OFF really will mean OFF. They should really have said that there will be some low current passing through this dimmer even in the OFF position. I will still say that it does works to dim the LEDs, so I'm going to keep it, but people need to know that it passes through a parasitic load.Read full review...

Excellent dimmer for my use.

Works smooth like a quality dimmer should. I use it to dim LED street lights and building lights on my model railroad. Never a flicker, never has one of these given an ounce of trouble. My 24 stall roundhouse has 60 LEDs in it, all of them controlled with one of these dimmers.Read full review...

Works good but becareful with the curcuit loading.

Great price and it looks good I have bought 1 and then 2 more and have experimented with them. They work good the dimming is smooth and liner however they should not be pushed to there 8 amp limit and they have zero momentary short circuit protection. They are cheap they work as long as you keep those two things in mind. For the price I keep a spare just in case.Read full review...

Does a great job at LED lighting control

Using this product to control LED lighting in my motor home. Lights can now be adjusted from full off to full on with a turn of the knob. Great control!

Pretty good LED light driver

These things work pretty consistently and last a few years under daily use. The only thing I don't like is that they don't have an Off switch. The OFF setting is not truly off, you have to add a toggle switch for that.Read full review...

The way to go

The dimmer switch was easy to hook-up and the price was really good. Dimmer switches just like it locally were three times the price. It works really well dimming the LED's when the brightness is not needed. no reason to use any other.Read full review...

Dimmer Switch works

I bought this switch to drive a defroster heat strip on my telescope. The PWM feature works well, and it beats the $150 price tag at the Astronomy store.
