Smile your way thru' this wonderful classic of songs and imagination

Good ol' Walt Disney productions has produced another lasting classic. I've enjoyed this movie ever since it came out, maybe enjoying it more each viewing. As sweet as Mary herself is, it's Bert the chimney sweep, played by Dick Van Dyke, that entertains me more-so. The special effects are just wonderful. Each of the characters they visit carries their own weight in entertaining. A most memorable segment is Bert's chimney sweep friends dancing on the roof tops. And then there's Uncle Walt (by lovable Ed Wynn)who charishes a "good" ? joke while they all float to the ceiling sitting in their chairs and at his table laughing and spinning around the room. Great Classic / This ones for the whole family!!!

When I was just a kid my mom loved this movie and I hated it ( only because my mom watched it almost everyday ). Now that I'm grown up, I've bought it for my kids. They want to watch Marry Poppins at least once a day. My 15 month old little girl loves Marry Poppinns. As soon as the music starts for this Great Movie she starts to screen for joy and laugh like she couldn't be happier.
So here I am again, watching Marry Poppins everyday, it's worth every second to watch. It's a great family movie. Now I like it just as much as my kids, I guess mom was right.Read full review...

Mary Poppins

This is my favorite 'real-person' Disney movie to date. I love Julie Andrews; she is one of my favorite actresses from the past generations aside from Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor, that really have TALENT- she can sing AND act. This movie is obviously a Disney classic as it had been re-released so many times, but it's well worth it. It's a great family movie with catchy songs, and incorporation of people and cartoons for its time.Read full review...
