MASON PEARSON - The BEST BRUSH in the World!
I just wrote an in-depth review, which eBay LOST, so this will be brief.
I won't even consider using any brush but a Mason Pearson DOUBLE BRISTLE (Natural & Nylon) brush, which I've used for 40 years. It separates EACH HAIR, allowing it to fall & flow the way the haircut intended. A few pulls of the brush and all you need do is to adjust your hair w/your fingers a bit (if necessary.)
The COST is NOT prohibitive, IF you consider the amount you'd spend on multiple brushes over the course of decades... sometimes SEVERAL PER YEAR because you'd discover that, upon using it, you found that you didn't like it. This will NEVER HAPPEN with a Mason Pearson... which will LAST, and PERFORM the same as it had when it was brand new... at least this has been my own experience with the MIXED BRISTLE. The only reason I ever REPLACED my Mason Pearson was when I'd lost it.
I genuinely LOVE my Mason Pearson brush... probably because it "ADDS" to me, to the way I CAN look, as opposed to subtracting. In other words, a Mason Pearson brush makes you look (and be) your best.

I have been using these brushes for decades on my long hair. I lost my pocket brush and had to buy a new one but they last for years. I also use the regular sized one of the same boar bristle style that I keep in my bathroom for am and pm brushing. The pocket size is in my purse all the time. Heard lots about Mason Pearson brushes and thought I'd see what the hype is all about. After having used the brush for a week, I can definitely feel the scalp-stimulating aspects.
