If you like being a hero... well, here's mass effect.
First look it made me cry in pure awesomeness and I became blinded by its coolness. Imagine you can choose to be a bastard or a saint (or be both) in this game and be free to choose how to ditch up opponents, like burning them to ashes with a incendenciary shotgun or microwave them with a radioactive pistol (YUmmy!)
or my very most favorite... use a THROW ability or LIFT then shoot them with a sniper rifle mixed with FROST BITING chemical. :D
All in all, this game is for people who likes space voyages and stuff (coz it includes a lot of voyaging!!! viola! Bonvoyage! hehe)
oh well, just get some bucket to place below your chin coz trust me...
You're going to drool all over the place while playing this.

Mass Effect
I have been a gamer as long as I remeber. I tried this game once, and wasn't that impressed. But after seeing the different reviews I figured it was time to try it again. Wow! I was wrong the first time I have played it! BioWare has done it again by making a great game. The graphics are amazing, storyline so far is imense. One of two complaints I have is the controls. But that's me personal, I am not use to it yet. I know once I play it more it will become more comfortable. Two of two is not always a clear idea on where to go. Example is I have to go somewhere, but I have to find it. I personal like to have a little help.
But overall a great game!

Mass Effect is awesome!
The game is awesome! Hours of game play. The best way to describe it is, Knights of the Old Republic mixed with a First Person Shooter, and they pulled it off great! The only complaint I have about the game, is some of the side quests are very repetitive, and the variety of armor and weapons is questionable as far as which ones do you really use, and finding the same ones over and over, but that is just my opinion. Mass Effect Is a Sci-Fi RPG game In where humanity Are the new race on the block. And thru out the game you must prove that we (humanity) is ready and up to the challenges of colonizing new worlds in the galaxy and protecting them, and along the way you must hunt down a rouge specter named saren, You the first human specter must get thru some galactic racism. And prove that we humanity as a whole are willing & ready for the challenge.
It's a spectacular game with a compelling story engaging dialouge and the ability to make you feel as thou you are part of the story!!
All together this game is a must have for any Xbox 360 collection.

Great Story; Great Game
Well, I suppose that the best thing about this game is that if it were a movie or story by itself, it would do pretty well. The plot is solid and the characters engaging. Add to that the fact that it is interactive (a video game instead of a movie) and you get a terrific experience. If all there was to this game that you explored space and watched intense battles and chose the course of the story as it unfolded, it would have been a rewarding experience. Now mix in the RPG elements and solid game play in battle and you have a gaming experience that is complete in its enjoyment. Definitely worth at least 2 or 3 play throughs. Great sci-fi RPG worth trying and completeing...and then repeating :)
I was actually recommended to try this product from one of the great (geeky) guys at GameStop. When I told him that I'd played the Fable series, Red Dead Redemption, GTA, Halo, and the Assassin's Creed series, so the guy recommended I play this. I was tentative to try but, I figured it was only $10 and worth a shot. Besides, with GameStop's "you can return a used game within 7 days no questions asked" policy, I figured I would try it out and, if I didn't like it, return it.
Well let me tell you - I tried it out, and I was FLOORED. I loved the interaction between the characters alone, they build the story so much. And the combat is great, working with your team to take down the thugs. I've gone on now to play Mass Effect 2, and have ME3 preordered even. This game has become, by far, my favorite game over all time. And all thanks to a little employee at GameStop - I should send him flowers.Read full review...
Almost perfect.
The only thing holding this game back are a few small AI and Interface issues. Also the auto saves are few and far between.
The lack of an in-game instruction tutorial makes learning curve much steeper than it needs to be. The first few levels you will be fumbling around the interface menus and dying in combat over silly things. Also trying to find out the difference between weapons is still something that confuses me.
The AI should have been polished before the game was shipped. Often times your team mates will fire blindly at a wall or get stuck unable to follow you. Other times they will switch weapons by themselves, bad news when you have your team mates back snipping and they pull out a pistol or shotgun.
Now for the good things. The combat system is great after you get past the learning curve. The ability to pause the game and issue commands makes the game much more like a classic RPG then a 3rd person shooter. Also the ability to upgrade your weapons and armor reminds me of Deus Ex, one of my favorite games.
The open ended game play is something missing from most games. And the fact that you get to decided how to handle almost any situation takes the replay value off the chart for a single player game.
The Story line and voice acting are something out of an A list Blockbuster rather than a video game. The voice cast is awesome and the story line will get you hooked and counting the days until the sequel.
All in all this game is one of the best on the 360.

excellent futuristic RPG
For the RPG fan this is a really good title. It has a really good storyline with equally good voiceover actors. There are alot of cutscenes and talking in this game. But in this case it's not necessarily a bad thing. You are asked to make alot of decisions during these conversations. Some of which I could not believe that the game makers would leave up to me. The graphics in this game are excellent. The fighting style is different from most games but there again, not such a bad thing. It requires you to utilize your team members more than you would if you did not need to and that makes for a very fun game. I rented this game and never beat it. That's why I decided to buy it. this game takes more than a couple of days to beat. I recommend owning it. You won't be dissapointed.Read full review...
Mass Effect (xbox 360)
This game will immediately draw you in with the way it plays and presents itself. First off the gameplay is excellent. There are two areas of playing; dialogue and combat. Dialogue presents the player with several personality based choices to interact with non player characters (npc). The choices made by the player determines what kind of choices the character can use in future conversations. Make badass choices and you get more badass choices in future dialogue making you a renegade. Doing the opposite develops your character as a paragon. The combat is very fun and engrossing. Depending what character type you chose at the beginning of the game; you will be able to use certain weapons and telekinetic powers. The system is very dynamic because you can use both in battle making the combat exciting and fast. Overall this game is a must have for any xbox 360 owner. BEST RPG/SHOOTER OF THE YEAR!
I have been waiting for this game for some time and the wait was WELL worth it! The graphics are incredible, the storyline is truely amazing in that it always different! The game changes every time I play it by choosing different character traits and saying different things! It is really the first game I have EVER played where YOU are in control!
The only flaw in the whole game is sometimes it lags while you are running around but these instances are very rare and do not even come close to ruining the gaming experience!
