Excellent Game, High Replay Value

I have always been a fan of Bioware(the producers of this game and Knights of the Old Republic I & II for the Xbox). They always seem to make games with incredible A.I. and high replay value. This game is great, I have played it through 3 times already just to try different angles and test my skills to the new difficulty settings that you can unlock.
Yes it does have some adult sensual themes included within the character relationships that you build, but regardless of what Cooper Lawrence says about it, there is no frontal nudity. Although keep this in mind if a teenager is playing, it is rated M for Mature, 17+. But beyond that, the game is incredible and Bioware undeniably impresses me once again.Read full review...

One of the BEST...

...games I have ever played. If you like RPG's and FPS in an outer space theme (i.e. Halo, Knights of the Old Republic, etc.) you should LOVE this game. I find it more of an RPG than an FPS so far (I've been playing about 8 hours) but I'm only playing on the first BASE and am just now taking my ship into the rest of the galaxy and I think there is A LOT more shooting to come! This game is absolutely HUGE and VERY detail oriented. Not in the gameplay persay, it's actually quite easy to learn, but the DETAILS of EVERYTHING (planets, different races, weapons, etc.)is mind-boggling. Great Game!

I absolutely love this game. The story is very well written, and the dialogue and rpg elements only help to suck you into the story. The gameplay is also very fun, if not to focused on balancing rpg and shooter elements. It can be a bit glitchy and the frame rate will drop occasionally but in all, this is a extremely fun game that both shooters and rpg lovers should both enjoy.Read full review...

mass effect

Ive heard great things about this game and I was not at all dissappointed,played it for 6 straight hours,I could NOT put it down I absolutely love it,it may be confusing at times but once you get the hang of it.One of the games best features is how real the makers of the game made the other characters arond you,plus the ability to make your own choices is one of the best things a video game can have,the graphics are just as everyone has said,stunning and that could be an understatement otherr than all of that I don't know what else to say about this game other than its amazing and I can't wait to see what the future of this game will be.Read full review...

Amazing game, lots of replay value

Gameplay is fun, it's hardly an RPG in the sense you may know. Third person shooter where you gain levels, equipment, and additional characters to make up your 3 person party. It doesn't have "magic" like in other games, but it does have abilities that make sense in the Mass Effect universe.

The story is epic. Enough political intrigue to keep you hopping from planet to planet tracking down Saren and trying to find out what he's really after.

The graphics are amazing. Characters have very well defined faces and when they talk it really looks like they are saying what you hear. Explosions and weapons fire look and sound as deadly as they should.

The framerate is the only real problem with the game. It varies from perfect to barely playable, but it's worth dealing with to play this sweet game.Read full review...

Love this game!!! Great RPG/Shooter Hybrid!!

This is an amazing game for anyone that likes RPGs like Oblivion and Fallout 3, as well as being an exellent shooter game like Halo. The graphics are top notch for the time it was released and still hold up very well. I borrowed this game from a friend and became hooked on exploring the galaxies and fighting the robot enemies. Very nice genre-mixed game!

Mass Effect is a very fun game that is all about adventure and has a great deal of decision making through dialogue and missions you choose. I like the upgrade system and the adventures themselves are really fun. The loading times aren't too great even when I had the game installed on my xbox harddrive. Its a lot of fun and its cheap now so I would definitely get this. It can be most compared to the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic games, so if you liked those you'll love this. But if you are only a first person shooter call of duty type than you shouldn't get this.Read full review...

RPG stepping up!!!

Great story, excellent graphics, cool characters and awsome weaponry. You get to go out and scour the galaxies and save all civilizations(oh yes there are more than just humans out there. Extra downloads for more missions to play and extra story line. You have action, drama, suspense, and a love story all in one making it a perfect playing movie.
It builds up to a climactic ending that puts you on the edge of your seat and begging to start playing Mass Effect II. I recommend you get this and ease back into your galactic traveling chair and fire up your faster than light (FTL)engines and start your mission. But hurry before Saren gets away.Read full review...
