Megaman X4 Sega Saturn

X4 was released on the Sega Saturn and PS1 and then later ported to the Megaman X Collection on both the PS2 and Gamecube. It's an excellent installment in the X series and the first Megaman X game that allows the player to play through the entire game with Zero with his own story line, animated cutscenes included. It's hard to say which is the best Megaman X game as they all have their unique approach to the series. If your looking to get X4, I'd say the Saturn version is the best version to have. There are small differences between the PS1 and Saturn version. The Saturn version handle sprites just a tad bit better and some characters have more frames of animation than the PS1 version, although both versions are great. The collection on PS2 and Gamecube contains the PS1 port. Since the Saturn version is widely considered to be the superior version, it's also the most expensive. I'd say find a good deal on one if you need it in your collection, but don't pay an arm and a leg. It's a great action game on any of the platforms and one that should be in every Megaman X fan's collection.Read full review...

If you like mega man x, look no further

Mega man is an interesting type of game that pretty much doesn't exist anymore. It's a 2d game that at first will seem like a little kids game because of its simplicity(it uses 3 buttons - jump, shoot, and dash). The games simplistic fun will suck you in from the very start, but eventually, you'll reach the games first real boss and your dream of hopping and bopping through this game with little difficulty will be shattered. THIS GAME IS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY DIFFICULT, but that's exactly why i gave it a five-of-five. While most difficult games are just downright cheap and obnoctious about being difficult, but when you lose in mega man, its because you suck, not because the game wasn't made right. Its a game where you need to practice, and master control over the blue bomber(mega man) and eventually top your enemies. This is what mega man x is all about and X4 does it the best, AND you can play as ZERO. So if you feel like playing a game of speed and mastery, look no further than mega man x4.Read full review...

Capcom Masterpiece

Mega Man X4 is one of the best platformers of all time. I was introduced to Mega Man in the 80's on the NES, but I wasn't that big on it like I am today. The graphics are nice and you get to execute nice moves to defeat enemies. I like Mega Man 8 a lot better than this one. Mega Man X3 is ok, but they shrunk the screen and it tends to be annoying. Mega Man is available for the Game Gear too. It is quite challenging, but if you take the time and play you will beat it. This game is highly sought after and can range from $14-$40(from what I've seen on here). If you manage to get it for a fair price, by all means, don't let it get away.Read full review...
