Theresa (Robin Wright) , a reporter from Chicago, ventures to New England and her life changes forever. While walking along the shoreline, she happens upon a bottle floating in the glistening waters. She opens up the bottle, and discovers inside a love letter, whose author was obviously smitten with whoever the letter was meant for. Theresa is overwhelmed by the letter, as are her coworkers she shows it to. The letter ends up printed in the newspaper, the public goes nuts for it, and her editor sends Theresa out to find the man who wrote the letter. Needless to say, she does find the man, Garret Blake(Kevin Costner), who in the midst of rebuilding his life. The rest of the movie is best left for the audience to uncover on their own, although if you think about it a little, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Message in a Bottle is a romantic movie, and a predictable one at that. But, aren't all romantic comedies and such predictable? Message In A Bottle

This is a real good love story. Nicholas Sparks did an excellent job in telling it in his book. Of course I liked the book better. They changed some things in the movie that I wish they hadn't. Altho the overall story was the same in the movie as it was in the book. I feel it would have been better if they would have stuck to the original story. A good love story. It shows how you can love again. Wish the ending had been different. I want all good things to end well. It is a good tear jerking movie.

Messafe in a Bottle ( 2000, VHS )

I have always loved this movie, I like vhs because they don't get scratched and destroyed. I liked that I could get it cheap and didn't have to pay full price for it, I didn't have to leave the house.
