Fantastic visuals mediocre thrill ride

The one and only thing this movie has is suberb visuals. the dialogue is wack and out of sync at times. They clearly make no sense whatsoever and collin farrell looks like a baffon trying to act hard on a telephone. Michael Mann keeps it real.

Its because the original maker of this franchise came back to wirte produce and direct the movie that I believe it was a hit. Colin & Jamie were dead on in their interpretations of Tubbs and Crockett. The story was fantastic and the action and drama were just as we remember from the original TV series and even better.From exotic cars and boats, to great action shootouts, the atmosphere was definetly Miami to a tee. Miami Vice Unrated (2006,DVD)

I love Michael Mann top of the Edge stuff here, just on form with HEAT my fave film of all times and not forgetting Collateral.

The Colin Farrell Jamie Fox mix well together..I like the style, darkness, the shoot outs..Alsop a good soundtrack.

pretty ok movie/...

h/w, it pales in M. Mann's past movies (HEAT, Collateral, even the old Miami Vice shows); the love story could have been dropped and imo, the best scenes in the whole movie were the .50BMG Baretts and the final shootout--the rest is pretty boring and dull

moreover, collon farrel sucks as a sonny; old man don johnson would kick his sorry a** any day of the weekRead full review...

Good action, little long movie. Fox is a great actor. Awesome 50. cal big bore rifle shoot out! It felt a little cheesey and unbelievable at times. Great remake of an old song as well, a soft rock back round to a shoot out.Read full review...
