Specific description would have been better.

It did say used. Still, specific description would have been better, instead of generic description. One pin broken. Not much of an issue, since I was looking for a sheep used item, but still something good to know. Overall pleased with item and its value.

Taking the previous statement in account, it should be required to post detailed description. Specific/pertaining to the individual item sold, thus preventing acquiring used items without know that particular of that item's description.

Not Quite Adequate

All is good with this controller except the left/right (or clockwise/counter-clockwise) motion. It is waaaaay too touchy, almost to the point of being a deal breaker when trying to participate in a battle in Minecraft. I know there is a sensitivity adjustment contained within Minecraft, but ... a) I shouldn't need to change that from the values that worked great with the original controllers, and b) the adjustment really doesn't help all that much. I believe ultimately my grandson will just set this controller down after a few more play sessions, and ask for a better one.

Can't figure it out.

I can't really figure it out.
At first it looks an official Microsoft product, but some small things make me wonder if it's actually a 3rd party product.
I've been using early XBox 360 controllers, I've never used more recent ones (until now) so I don't know if the slight design differences I see between my old controllers and the new one are due to some controller revision or if they're the typical differences 3rd party companies make to avoid legal actions from the main company.

The controller itself works fine for now.
The problem 3rd party controllers usually have are the springs that keep the thumbsticks centered (triggers as well) usually wear out pretty quickly rendering the controller basically unusable.

This is why I have such a problem with not being sure wether this is an official controller or not.

If it is official that concern is unfounded and the product rating should be a 5 out of 5, Xbox 360 controllers are one of the best controllers I've ever used (the d pad is pretty bad unfortunatelly).
If it's a 3rd party controller only time will tell if it's a good one (first impressions indicate it's great).

it was a bust

I didn't get what the picture is displayed I've had this controller and receiver combo for a few months now, and I've only ever used it with two games. Very light usage, and I think I only ever unplugged the receiver about ten times. Basically I plugged it in and forgot about it. Well yesterday, I unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it stopped working. No green light at all. No recognition from the OS.

It turns out these receivers have fuses that tend to fail prematurely. Do a google search for "xbox 360 receiver no green light" and you will see what I mean. Apparently, the act of unplugging and plugging the receiver back in was enough to kill it. Thankfully, it's possible to repair the device, but you have to crack open the case, desolder the fuse, and jumper the contacts together. I was able to get my receiver working again, but what a pain! I have never had any other USB device flake out like this.

Anyway, the controller itself seems good, just the USB receiver is garbage. But you can't use the controller without the receiver, hence the one star review.

Not Genuine xbox 360 controller.

Nice controller but not the best for first person shooters. The left joystick is way off. Sometimes the controller does not function for like a few seconds where the buttons don't work. You get what you pay for. Just get a refurbished or send a couple more bucks and get an xbox one controller.Read full review...

Old and outdated

The controller arrived quickly inside an original Microsoft box.
However, it turns out it is an old version of the controller which has been replaced over 2.5 years ago!!
While the controllers are similar, there are various noticable differences - most importantly is the lack of headset jackRead full review...

Not bad at all.

The controller came and had a minor issue, but nothing major at all. Couldn’t get the Xbox button to turn on. Plugged in the charge cable and tested fine with everything. Then opened up the pack. Just a little dried battery acid on one of the battery coil. After a few moments of scrapping it off, the controller turned on wirelessly, as intended. The controller worked perfectly then and has since.

Thank you.
