This is an old Walt Disney movie telling of true events. I took riding lessons from someone who studied under the true life main trainer and wanted this movie for a gift for my teacher when she moved. Miracle of the White Stallions

It is a wonderful tale, based on a true story that is fit for the whole family and very inspiring. The story is near the end of WWII when the Russians are moving into German territory. The Germans had gathered many of the best show and racing horses in Europe including the Royal Lippizans and we holding them. The Russians were starving and did end up eating many of the horses they got, however General Patton, (who was an Olympic rider before the war) ordered a mission that recovered many of the horses from Germany and insured the survival of the Lippizan breed.Read full review...

I raise and breed Morgan horses. I am a lover of all breeds of horses. I have always loved the Lipizzan horses. I used to go see them in person when I was a kid. So, of course the movie was a must. I also like the fact that there is historical value to the movie. A must for any horse lover and a good history lesson for the kids.Read full review...

Movie about the Lipizzaner Stallions during WWII

I bought this DVD because my husband and I recently saw the Lipizzaner Stallions in person. I was very impressed by the horses, and they were selling this movie at the venue for $30.00. I felt the price was too high, and decided to try and find it cheaper. I did on Ebay, and bought it here. The movie is interesting from a historical standpoint, but if you are waiting to see the horses "dance" you really have to wait till the end. The ending is worth watching.Read full review...

i love the story. war movies are often hard to watch and are bloddy. this movie is fun loving and a great way to see history. if you love horses you will loe this movie.

I loved this movie when it first came out. Watching it again was reminded me of why I enjoyed it so much the first time. Disney always produces great family features.
