Buy up; don't do this

This is my third Speedo Shine. I bought this one hoping they'd actually fixed the "pop-out" problem. Wrong. Haven't even had it two months, and it's popped out four times, which seems to happen with increasing frequency once it starts popping out. You might get lucky one or two times and hear where it bounced, but eventually, I promise, you will NOT be able to find it. I'm 70 years old. I don't climb mountains. I don't play football. I swim laps. That's it. Today, it's gone, between the time I woke up and four hours later. The most exotic thing I did today was unpack two boxes (no, it's not in the boxes.)

I'm off this drug, much as I've loved the simplicity and reliability (when it's where it belongs) of the Speedo Shine. Talk about a waste of money. Spend the extra $50 and get the Withings Steel; that's what I'm going to do.Read full review...

Battery life

One of the main reasons I chose this product is because you don't have to charge/sync it all the time and the battery life says 2-6 months. Well I've had mine for about month now and I have had to change the battery TWICE. Works great for running, cycling, and swimming.

I got this to support an initiative at our company. I swim a fair amount and do an occasional triathlon as well. I've only used the device for about 2 weeks and so far I am very happy with my purchase. I spent less than 30 bucks on it and it tracks the 3 triathlon activities well. I like that it runs on a watch battery and won't require frequent charging. I keep it on the wrist most of the time unless I go cycling where I will move it to the left shoe.
