Mobil Masterpiece Theatre - A Tale of Two Cities (2001,
Having read this book in high school, I was quite excited to see it had been updated for MMT. Despite knowing the ending, I watched each week during its original broadcast. The attention to detail was very good, with a few exceptions (e.g., the significance of the Madame DeFarge's knitting). That said, the cast and production was excellent. Having the book brought to life in such a vivid and touching way is sure to interest even the most diehard Dickens reader. I have enjoyed watching this a number of times over the years and highly recommend it.Read full review...

We loved it!!
After looking at other productions of this play on DVD and their reviews, I decided to purchase this one, and am so glad that I did! My 14 year old daughter needed it for her English class, but was reluctant with very little desire to watch it. She ended up saying how much that she actually liked it, and intends on watching it again! I highly recommend the Mobil Masterpiece Theatre production of "A Tale of Two Cities".Read full review...
